  1. I can tell you to order UP a full size on everything in that catalog. All runs small.
  2. If EJ doesn’t buy all 7 boxes, I will take what is left. Thanks PS: I have several boxes of the Accutips in 12 gauge if anyone is looking for those. But I have none in 20 and would like to carry the Savage.
  3. Is it a job for deer search, just to put your mind at ease?
  4. Feels good to say “my wife and I” doesn’t it?! Congratulations!
  5. Thanks Suburbanfarmer. Looks like I need either a FFL or an Exporter to assist. Any savings would probably be used up in the process. But why do they have so much ammo at cheaper prices, and there’s hardly any here and what you find is much higher?
  6. I just got back from closing up camp in Canada. I stopped on the way up at a gun shop, sporting goods store. I was amazed at the selection and quantity of ammo they had available in this medium sized store. I've been looking all summer for 12ga trap loads, this store had over 1000 flats. And priced at $109 Canadian! That's about $88 US. Cheapest i have found here is $150 a flat. WTF? I asked and they told me I wouldn't have been able to bring any back home. 7. I will be claiming BowmanMike on Sunday! Calling first dibs!
  8. Week 3 Otto selecting Turkeyfeathers, but I have a feeling he may tag before this week is over!
  9. Haircut and then 250 pounds of tomatoes to canning this afternoon. I need to have 100+ quarts to satisfy my annual needs and gifts. So far we only have 36 on the shelf and we are really late to the game this year. Don't worry, I got some real good intel on my walk home last night. There is still time!
  10. Dammit! I have been waiting for the Wooltimate pullover in 2XL since last year. They only ever has S, M, L. I finally bought a really nice pullover from Asbell Wool, and I really like it, although there has not had the crucial true test in the woods yet.
  11. I left it there unfortunately. I'll be on the lookout next time I am in those woods.
  12. Great looking plots! I am sure they are an irresistible lure for your local herd.
  13. Wondering what this is too. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  14. On right now. He is slaying it again! I think they are purposely placing weak candidates against him to drive viewership from all their recent turmoil.
  15. Had the same doe and fawn as Friday playing around in the woods again. They went out to the alfalfa field to feed after a little while. On the way home there were 4 deer in my food plot near the pond. I think 1 was a buck. I was going to sit in that stand tonight, but Huntstand showed my scent cone blowing right over it all afternoon. As it was there was zero wind and I could have probably pulled it off. No hunting tomorrow, gotta finish up our tomato canning.

  19. Probably too late, and not far off my instructions. Concord Grape Wine Makes One Gallon Ingredients: 6 lbs. Fresh Concord Grapes 5 pts. Water 3 ¼ Cup White Sugar ½ tsp. Pectic Enzyme 1 tsp. Yeast Nutrient 1 Campden Tablet, Crushed 1 Pack Red Star Montrachet Wine Yeast Instructions: Wash your fruit. Remove stems. Discard moldy or badly bruised grapes. Place fruit in a nylon bag. Press juice from bag into primary fermenter. Try to extract as much juice as possible. Keep fruit pulp in the nylon bag, tie off the end of the bag, and place in your primary fermenter. Stir in: water, sugar, pectic enzyme, yeast nutrient. DO NOT ADD YEAST. Crush campden tablet, add to a ¼ cup of warm water. Add to primary fermenter. Stir well. Cover your primary fermenter. You do not need to use the lid, a clean towel will do. WAIT 24 HOURS. After 24 hours, uncover your primary and take a hydrometer reading. Your starting gravity should read 1.090 - 1.095. Add yeast. Cover primary with lid and attach airlock. Stir every few days. You can take hydrometer readings during this time to ensure fermentation is healthy and active. You can also press the nylon bag of pulp to extract more juice. When gravity reaches 1.030 (should take 5-6 days), lightly press juice from the bag. Siphon wine off layer of sediment into a clean secondary fermenter. A clear jug is best so you can watch the wine as it clears. Cover and reattach airlock. When fermentation is complete and gravity has reached 1.000 (should take around 3 weeks), siphon off sediment into another clean vessel to continue clearing OR if you are happy with the clarity of the wine, bottle, and place in a cool dark area to age.
