  1. An Italian and Homemade winemaking club I belong to goes to the Franklin in Rome, NY once a years for an outstanding feast of their specialties. Always one of the highlights of the dining circuit!
  2. Now I’ve got 2 compounds and 2 recurves. Three years ago I had zero! Trying to fit a lifetime of outdoor pursuits into a 15 year time span is a lot of work!
  3. To be honest, I love my Drenalin! I had no plans to replace it. I actually am trying to go more traditional with a recurve, but I am a long way away from taking that into the woods on a live target. But, I did want to have a backup bow, just in case, and my cousin gave me a dam good deal on it. (Not as good a deal at the one I got from @The_Real_TCIII ) but a fully outfitted and ready to shoot rig, it was just too hard for me to pass up!
  4. Well, not a two bagger at least.....
  5. that's called "Dirty Hot" or sometimes we say "hunting camp hot"
  6. Kelly Reilly is the actress, playing Beth Dutton on Yellowstone. Check out this link! You will fall in love.....
  7. I watch Longmire, that is pretty good. I didn't realize that it was released about 6 years ago, all of them are reruns. Outdoor Channel, 9pm Mondays.
  8. Happy Birthday! Shraaaaamp on the barbie today!
  9. Well, I can't wait for Yellowstone to return soon!
  10. @Moho81 You drew exactly what I was saying in option 1! Nice work with the computer! One picture is worth 1000 words!
  11. You could add fake columns along either side of the slider with a panel above. Make them 18" or so wide and use some of the pulled off vinyl to fill in. You could use cedar 3/8" plywood and wrap cove base trim around it to create the look. Or you could pull of the vinyl above the ceiling line (inside the gable area). use those pieces to fill in along side the slider, then add a cap there to delineate, and put another style vinyl above. A scallop edge would look nice above that cap.
  12. The one I want is only sold at local dealers, not on their website. So I have to go in to a local dealer to buy it.
  13. I'd be very surprised if someone in your area didn't have seedlings from organic seed. Call around. I would be very leery of plants shipped from anywhere, even a few hours in a box can do a lot of damage to a very young plant. Your other option is to start plants yourself from organic seeds. Some of them are quite east to do (zucchini, beans, etc) some take more time and a re just a bit more work (tomatoes, peppers....)

    New pup.

Love that color! Enjoy the new pup!
  15. That was your best post ever! Really enjoyed it, thanks!
  16. I had my dandelion salad tonight. No chunk of parmesan, so i settled for grated. It was as tasty as i remember as a kid. I picked enough for another salad, but may pick more so i can try it sauteed. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  17. Oh no, you should know me better! Meat is top priority! And doe meat is delicious! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  18. Phade, I shot it 12 or so times before I decided to buy it and at 20 yards I was just a couple inches low and left of the bull. I will probably try to adjust the scope a bit, but first I need to get the poundage down to my level. I can draw it, but shooting more than 20 arrows is going to hurt. Tacks, I never loved the grip on my old Mathews, although I have not shot enough other brands to know better. I looked into new grips, but they were not available for the Drenalin, they may be for the Halon, just need to research some more. I looked into the quiver - $170 on Mathews website! I may rethink that. Or not. First things first, and that is get to shooting it.
  19. His friend has the same sight, but didn’t like the three fins, so he cut them out and left just the pin. I have not shot it enough to determine if I would do that, but it is a world of difference looking through the single pin than through my three pin sight on the old bow.
  20. I LIKE IT THAT WAY!
  21. I am grateful that left handedness runs in my family! My cousin is giving me a great deal on his 5 year old Mathews Halon 6, all decked out with HHA single pin adjustable sight. It's set around 65 lbs right now with a 29.5" draw length. I plan to have that dialed down into the 50s somewhere. I need to get a quiver for it too. I'll start shooting this over the summer and probably use it this fall. I plan to keep my Denalin for backup. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  22. BTW, my buddy told me last night that ramps in the woods are out in full force! About 2 weeks early. Don't forget those delicious treats! Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  23. Rapini! The cultivated version is called broccoli raab, at Wegmans. Those are good too and likely what all those old Italians on the roadside were picking. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
