No kidding, he’s a big boy! First one they have ever seen or seen evidence of at camp.

Hope its’ not too big of a bill. Foundation work sounds like it could be, and it’s not like you can ignore it!

Happy Birthday guys! -
That really sucks! And I see shanks in there too...... I need a new door seal on my freezer. Been putting it off for a while now. Gotta make that call!

Great news! Enjoy every minute of it. My daughter and SIL moved recently and they hired movers for everything except some personal packing. In and out in 24 hours, it was amazing!

This is a forum shout out and thank you to @Enigma who I met this morning. He saw one of my threads about the general shortage of trap shooting ammo, and he PM’d me that he had a lot of it and was willing to help meet my needs. A few months ago he even offered to go to his local Bass Pro to see if there was a Cabelas Wooltimate Pullover in my size available. He got 3 jars of homemade tomato purée, a bottle of homemade wine, and our family meatball and sauce recipe for his good deeds! Great guy and it was a pleasure to meet you! Hopefully there will be a CNY GTG soon!

Yellow leaves on a plant is usually a sign of too much water. You should try to amend your soil with compost and some sand to help it drain better. Surprising it is wet, it has been a mostly dry spring so far. I usually don’t put straw down, but this year I did, mostly to cut down on my weeding time. You can leave that straw down all summer if you want. It will help keep the soil moist in the dryer part of the summer.

Nice views for sure!

Nice! That wine has great color!

It’s funny that Grouse posted that. All he does is argue with people online! EDIT: Ha! Now I get your joke!

Great deal on that boat Wolc! I had an real ugly fishing boat for a long time, it was one of my favorites. It was fiberglass and leaked all the time. There was carpet glued down in the center section, and it had been heavily overpainted and it peeled all over. I just bailed when needed and it was fine as long as I didn’t go too far from camp. My kids called it UFB or the Ugly Fishing Boat and it was!

Is the Little Sip a new one or an updated can of Little Sip of Sunshine?
-
Yes. Rough overnight, feeling a bit better this AM.

I got my second shot yesterday and have been drinking lots of water and Gatorade. Last night I was ok, but woke up tired and with a headache. Went to work and only lasted until 1:30, came home and semi crashed. Very tired but did not really sleep well. Hoping this all passes by morning!

Price increases are one thing. Actually getting it on the shelf is a whole other game!

Search is over - I bought a Bass Pro 6'8" Ultra light 1 piece rod with a fast action. Hopefully it survives shipping. It ended up being a default. At 7:40 am this morning, the St Croix were showing available, now they show as sold out. But the longest rod they had in stock at that time was 6' and I wanted a little bit longer rod for streams. I can also use this for any other panfish fishing I may do off the boat. The smartest thing I ever did in my life was to get my wife a Cabelas credit card. The points add up so quickly I can hardly keep up with her!

Fly fishing is an aspiration for me - someday!

Yes, I should have been more clear - spinning rod.

We have used mini splits in a commercial setting, they work great with big open rooms.

Well, so far 3 of my favorite brands: Fenwick, St Croix and G. Loomis. I have a bunch of points to burn on Cabelas but the pickings are slim. My favorite so far is a St Croix in 6’ UL and fast, my original specs. But the thought of a longer rod is appealing too. As usual, I will research this one to death before I pull the trigger, so keep the thoughts coming. @left field I do have a fly rod, but have yet to break it out on a stream. I have used it for SM Bass off my boat. I would need a lot of practice and humility to bring the fly rod out on Nine Mile Creek. But it is on my to do list this season!

I am on the hunt for a new fishing rod for stream fishing for trout. I am thinking around 6’ in length and UL with a fast action??? Give me your ideas for the perfect stream rod for trout! Specs and/or brands, etc, etc, etc,

Thanks! I enjoyed that article. My mother was an accomplished amateur artist. She would have enjoyed reading about his technique and perspective.
