  1. Great deal for someone! I use both those rounds, but i am in the 315. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
  2. Yes, raw is good! And not just the leafy top part, eat the reddish stuff at the bottom too. Some shaved Parmesan on top would be a nice touch!
  3. I’ll look through those issues. They belonged to a friend of mine that passed away, so it would be something for our friends to still share with us while they are passed! But I found this recipe online that matches all those ingredients! https://venisonthursday.com/bourbon-deer-jerky-homemade-snacks-you-will-want-to-hide
  4. The greens get bitter as they age. Like people sometimes! The sooner you pick them before any flowers the better they will be. They are not at all sweet even when young, kinda like arugula tasting....
  5. I have several old issues of Fur Fish Game, if your interested in those. I am set with Turkey loads, just want to pay something a little forward.
  6. Yes, but they are only good for salads, etc. before they flower. You use the flowers to make wine. Also, if you do pick some, try to pick in areas that haven’t been sprayed with anything.
  7. We will be staying on Surfside Beach which is a little south of Myrtle Beach for a week in mid-May. We have been to MB before, not really our cup of tea. But someone gifted us a week at this resort and we could use a vacation. (Not too happy it is in the middle of turkey season, but oh well). Shoot me some advise or tips on places to go, things to do, restaurants, bars, etc. Also, I am hoping to do some near shore fishing in that area, there are several guides close by, but this forums advice and experience is always spot on. Bonus, if you can tell me of some LGS that may have any trap load 12 gauge, either down there or on the way!
  8. DAM! The bark was fuzzy at 100X zoom. But the hang on and climbing sticks are clearly outlined.

Biz, how did you score that???
  10. Love dandelion salad! Just olive oil, salt, pepper and toss. Delicious! The sautéed recipe sounds good too, I’ll have to try that real soon.
  11. If you zoom in you can see his tree stand in the maple back there. Friends of Buckle are on the hit list!
  12. Not showing on my iPad. They are png extensions. Try regular jpegs
  13. Nice mount Jay, glad to hear you are doing ok. Sorry about the car, but those things can be fixed easily. Looking for your next post on the beer or dinner thread!
  14. 1 hot pepper plant will produce plenty of peppers for cooking in 1 household. (typically. a professional chef may use more!)
  15. Sounds like the start of a great new thread!

I've found it's not a given on great meals anymore. You really need to do your research and have good intel from the locals. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

    You had me at Maine....
  18. Once MJ is legal and if you are not addicted to that or any of the other items, you can answer that question truthfully. Same with OxyContin, it could be prescribed and therefore legal and if you are not addicted to it, then you can answer yes. If you are buying it on the street and therefore using it illegally, then its a no. If you are truthful when completing the form!

Thank you for being a valued Hilton Honors member! The Tick Tock diner is located on the first floor of the New Yorker. That’s across the street from Macys at 34th and 8th. Excellent diner pretty close to that Hampton.

I love Churrascaria! What a great place, but you better come with a real appetite! That’s a three hour dinner, minimum.

Small world! One of my former college students was a Director of Wine there a few years ago. I think she moved on to a winery in Oregon now. Anyway, she set me up with a meal and wine pairing that was out of this world!

Ah yes bagels, I always went to Ess-A-Bagel on 3rd, near 51rst. Great spot for a quick breakfast. Reading this, I am missing all my trips to NYC where is was all on a business account! Might need to plan a weekend there with my wife just to re-live some of that glory.

the 9/11 memorial will take a whole afternoon, at least. I wanted to stay longer but we had to move on.

Another vote for Eataly, awesome place and very good food! It's been a long time and I remember Carmines to be good and lots and lots of portions. Other good places from a few years ago...Steaks: Quality Meats 58th and 6th, Le Relais de Venice 52/Lex (price fix steak and frittes) Uncle Jacks and/or Keenes Steaks near Madison Square Garden. and for a real classic NY Steak experience try Smith and Wollensky 3rd and 49th st.. Italian: Carmines, Cassa Nonna (wood fired pizza) 38th between 8/9. Too many other great Italian restaurants to list..... When we did this for my brother we rented limos for the day. It really was not too costly overall and we always had a car at our disposal and it really amped up the specialness of the trip for him. Might be worth looking into even if for only one day of the weekend. If it is just you and your Mom, a black car would suffice. IMO I would skip Chinatown and Little Italy. If you want a better Italian experience, go to Brooklyn.
