Yes I suppose they are....However they are legal in NYS, unlike " baiting".... I'll sit in my enclosed, heated blind and shoot deer in my planted food plot and have a fine old time... If anybody has an issue with that, that is THEIR problem, not mine... I have hunted deer for over 50 years, and killed them while stillhunting, driving, treestand hunting, and a lot of just standing beside a tree and waiting ( often all day) for a deer to walk by... I no longer care a lot for "hunting" deer, but I still like to shoot them and eat eat them.....I'll sit in my tower blind over my food plot, and anybody else is free to hunt deer in whatever manner they prefer, as long as it is legal.. If anyone has a problem with my preferred style of hunting, they are free to KMA....<<grin>>...

It amazes me that there are so many people who really give a s**t... I have never baited , unless you consider my food plots baiting... I have talked to many who have baited in places where it is legal, and it is not necessarily a slam dunk, unless you are hunting some arid, natural food exempt places like Texas.. Personally, I am glad that there are not regulations against buying something because somebody MIGHT do something illegal with it....Sort of reminds me of gun control.....

I did not mention the fact that my doctor is usually amazed at the fact that my liver functions are normal... reminds me a a quote from George Burns when he was in his 90s... An interviewer asked him what his Doctor said about his drinking martinis and smoking cigars.. George replied " My doctor is DEAD "....

Since I am on blood thinners, my GP does a set of blood tests on a regular basis... Had one a couple of weeks ago and everything was fine, as usual...

I think Beretta markets them, but they are made in Finland by Tikka/ Sako, whatever... Very high quality firearms in any case.. Aside from that, aren't there still US made rifles by Rem, Savage, Ruger, Winchester being made with blued finishes and wood stocks available ?? I have not priced them in a few years, but not that long ago very high quality and accurate rifles were being imported by CZ with wood stocks ( I have one in a CZ 550 American) for less than a grand....My CZ is a tack driver and I have NEVER talked to a person who owned a CZ rifle that was not scary accurate..

I'm scared of heights....I'll be the short little sawed-off dude standing on a bucket peeking in her window...

I've got some left also....The Mermaid has been having some gastric issues is not eating as much meat as she used to, hence we don't eat as much venison..I have been giving some to a couple of my non-hunting retired friends who like it...

I ain't going NEAR that one, Steve...<< Pygmy hunkers down in his foxhole>>......

You can reduce the felt recoil even more by going with the 120 grain bullets rather than the 140s, if her rifle groups them well.. I handload 120 grain Barnes TSX for my Rem 700 Mountain rifle, and it's a real pussycat to shoot, even with a max powder charge..

I have lots of room in my new, enclosed , heated and carpeted tower stand.... I understand Miranda Lambert likes to hunt deer.....

My Uncle Fester could do that....He used to take Aunt Wilda hunting with him but he had to stop taking her... She tore 'em up too bad......

Happy Birthday Paulie !! Hope you get lucky !! <<grin>>....

I always wondered what kind of a sick individual would want to hang around in a treestand hunting deer when they could be hunting ducks.... Much more action, they are easier to carry home and the decoys are lighter...Besides, in my opinion they taste better...Puddle ducks like mallards, woodies and teal are my favorite game meat

Cool picture....There was a very similar bird in a local flock several years back..I saw it a couple of times myself and numerous other people saw it because the flock often fed in a field adjacent to a local highway...

I have yet to see my first fisher in NYS in the flesh...I have seen a fair number of picts from local trailcams and pictures from local trappers of fishers they have released. I have only actually seen 2 live fishers in my life, one in Alaska and one in Ontario.. I have, however, seen a half dozen bobcats either while hunting or while driving...

I'd be very surprised if there were NOT mink on LI...They are very aquatic and inhabit many coastal/ brackish habitats... Fishers, on the other hand are more of a forest/upland species...It is very possible they could be on LI, but the habitat is not ideal for them and they would have to access it through NYC or cross fairly wide expanses of salt water..

The DEC stocked them to get rid of the aardvarks.. It must have worked...There are no aardvarks on Long Island...

Damn !! How did I miss THAT one ?? !!....... Probably it was playing at the same time I was watching " Sally's Strange Vacation"....

Must be the .35 Rem just hasn't got the velocity, where the bigger case 35s do... That is probably why there is such a HUMONGOUS cavity in that .30-30 bullet... I've had great luck with Barnes, but I tend to load them light for caliber and push them fairly fast....

Nope.....Buy me a box and I'll try 'em ....<<grin>>.... Although they are kinda funny looking...Besides, it would be tough to beat the performance of a standard 150 grain cup/core spritzer loaded to about 2700 fps in a 30-06.... Feeding COULD be an issue, however, especially since it's a semi... As you said yourself in a recent post, if it ain't broke, don't fix it...Hehehehe...

I shot my first 3 or 4 bow deer with them...They worked well....
