  1. I'd reply to that, Rob, but Growie asked me right off the bat to BEHAVE ..... SOOO I'm gonna be a good boy and not even MENTION the visual I got when she told about dropping her drawers and jumping around trying to get the ants off her legs......<< BIG smile>>.....
  2. Ah, Deliverance, my favorite romantic comedy... " Take down them PANTIES, Boy ! " " He shore do have a PURTY mouth.." Poor Ned Beatty... Any role he played after Deliverance, all I could think of was him squealing like a pig... Kinda like the guy who played the psycho in the first Dirty Harry movie...Any time I saw him on film after that I could never picture him as anything but a psycho..
  3. " Don't wait up for the shrimp boats, Mama, cuz I'm comin' home with the crabs ! " I never had them before, but I sure don't want 'em AGAIN !!
  4. LMAO !! You are on a DEFINITE roll, my friend !!!
  5. I'll bet the pullys had the brand name ACME on the side !!!
  6. The Mermaid and I both carry when up on the property...We have eyeballs and picts of at least two mama bears with cubs, one with 2 one with 3 on the 100 acres.. Ya never know.. FAR more likely though is that the ordinance might be used on a sick coon (distemper) or a sick red fox.(mange)... I have dispatched a few of each over the years.. Coyotes ? Better be slinging a long gun....I have killed a half dozen over the years and have seen a couple dozen more, but I never saw one that even John Wayne would have a decent chance to kill with a handgun.... Pilgrim......<<grin>>....
  7. I saw a strutter with a hen today.. Must be the turkeys don't know that the spring season should begin and end earlier..
  8. Ain't no flies on the 25-06 as a deer cartridge.. With 100 grain bullets (my choice) it is a .243 on steroids... BANG- FLOPS with heart/lung shots are common.. With 115-120 grain bullets it is so close to the .270/130 grain combo that it is not even worth arguing about the difference..
  9. There is an abandoned house on CR 1 between Addison and Campbell in which the turkey vultures nest annually. I have never been in it ( private property, of course) but I see them flying in and out of it every summer, through the upstairs windows and a big hole in the roof.. Some one of these years it will collapse or be torn down and the birds will lose their nursery.
  10. TF....Beautiful young lady ... Obviously she takes after her Mom...
  11. I destroy all the evidence.. Unfortunately several of my friends have many embarrassing pictures of me. Lawdwaz has at least one and I know that Maytom has several...
  12. Nice, Real...Nymphin' I see..... Congrats to the daughter...!
  13. I TOAD you it was more than you could handle, snake !
  14. I HATE the little bastards !! Got nailed 3 times today working up on the property... They can bite through a t-shirt with no problem..! My wish for my ex-wife's boyfriend , when he goes to hell.. He spends the rest of eternity tending a garden infested with MILLIONS of deerflies...<<<<GRIN>>>...

    Home alone

    Lucky bastards !
  16. I'm hoping you have no serious injuries, Growie.... Here's a big <<SMOOOOCH>>... Sincerely hoping you feel better soon...
  17. I went on a fishing charter in Florida a few years ago. One customer, a young, somewhat arrogant successful ( according to him) executive type, brought bananas in his lunch.. The captain and mate told him he could not bring them on board. The customer pitched a fit, and the bananas came aboard with us. We didn't get skunked, but we didn't exactly have a banner day either...
  18. Very cool, Airedale ! I saw one while gobbler hunting in Maine a couple of years ago that was nearly all white.
  19. Nice fish, Dan Stripers are fun to catch and excellent to eat also... I have a short " Lunker Stripper" story to tell... Back around 1968 or 69, I went up to Gasport to hunt pheasants opening day, back when there WERE lots of pheasants to hunt. Three of us drove into Buffalo and visited a few ballets on Chippewa Street the night before season opened. One of the places had a girl dancing who must have weighed 400 pounds..She looked kinda like LULU on Hee Haw.. One of the guys that was with me was fascinated by her and was right up front watching her jiggle around the stage. She finally looked down at him and said " You ain't MAN enough, Honey !..."
  20. When I was a kid it seemed like nearly all of my friend's dads ( including mine) had served in WWII.. They are nearly all gone now. A member of my local American Legion Post parachuted into Normandy on D-Day...He is in his 90s now, and in poor health at the VA center.
  21. Very nice ! I went a similar route with a Yugo M48 Mauser in 8x57 that I wanted to be able to use as a deer rifle.. I bought a MOJO SIGHT which is a peep that attaches to the rear sight base. I removed the rear sight and just attached the peep to the base with a couple of set screws. That way the rifle is not altered in any way and I can remove the peep and re-install the original rear sight to return the rifle to it's original state.. The only things I have shot with it so far were a sick coon and a couple of porcupines, however...<<grin>>.. I must say, though, the 8x57 with 150 grain Hornadys DOES pop a porky out of a tree with authority !
  22. I have some fond memories of "playing with snappers" myself... Somebody asked me one time what OLD snappers smell like.. I told them "depends"........
  23. Pygmy

    Fish/age

Trout have scales...They are small, but they are there..
  24. You don't own a .22, ??? Paulie, Me Boy, that's UN-AMERICAN !!....<<grin>>....
