Talk About Butt Covering
steve863 replied to Early's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Have to agree with Virgil here. If the majority of gays were to support such a thing, there standing in society would be far below where it presently is. I just find it funny how Early frequently attacks catholics around here. It's one thing making a joke, but he does seem to have a very serious hatred towards them. Whatever. My wife happens to be a chatecism teacher and I know for a fact that the church has taken safeguards far beyond any organization to assure that such things don't happen again. Absolutely NO adult is allowed to assist in activities in a catholic church or school without being trained and certified and having attended classes that discuss such crimes. A parent cannot even assist on a classroom field trip without having completed such a course. Also the new rules are that NO priest is ever allowed to be alone with a child without another certified adult present. What happened in the past was surely not a good thing, but the church HAS done a lot to help prevent such things from happening again. -
I've seen a couple like that at Robert Moses State park, although your picture don't look like that park since it's way more wooded. I posted some video I shot at Robert Moses a good many years back for Geno on the thread below last year. Won't see deer like that in other parts of the state as easily.

The only dig is that some of you honestly need to get a life. Has to be more to life than preparing for hunting season all year around.
-
He didn't tell me a thing. I haven't seen a post of his today, that is why I ask his whereabouts? You yourself said that you PM'd him in the forester thread.
-
Growalot, how many more days until you climb into your stand to await the Oct 1 opener?? Can't be more than a day or two? I may be getting a PM like Pygmy in the other thread after this reply. By the way, where is Pygmy today?? Hope he hasn't been used as fertilizer under one of Growalot's food plots. LOL

I was surprised by Paul Ryan's speech

Chevy, as I said, we will see how it all pans out. Anything is possible in politics and there are 2 months to go. Right or wrong, in this TV age we live in, a candidates persona plays heavily on how people perceive them. Romney so far has shown NOTHING in that respect, nor has he gotten much help from anyone else in his party. With his greased back hair and flip-flopping opinions, he is seen as nothing more than a snake oil salesman by many. He tells you one thing, while he tells the other guy down the street the complete opposite. This is not a plug for Obama, only an honest observation of Romney, that I am sure the die hard line towing republicans don't want to hear. Even McCain without the good looks and with older age was well ahead of Romney in the personality department. -

I've watched some of the convention, and honestly it has been nothing but an Obama bashfest. Very, very little in what Romney/Ryan actually plan to do and how they will go about doing it. I think simply bashing Obama and not coming up with convincing arguments on how the republican candidate can do better won't win them many votes with any voters that might still be on the fence. They have also done NOTHING to help bolster Romney's image with the American people. It's almost like the republicans are conceding that Romney has the personality of a tree stump, and pretty much stinks, but there only chance of winning is to throw as much mud at Obama as they possibly can. We will see how it all pans out for them. -

Both sides have meddled with free enterprise way too much in recent years. Who started the bail outs? It was a republican Bush who bailed the banks and others out while he was in office, so it's only natural that once the democrats took over they would throw even more money into everything. I would let any private business fail, who can't make it on it's own. If we really are a free enterprise capitalistic nation, that is the way it should be left. The way I see it things won't be much better no matter who gets elected. You vote in a democrat and they throw Godzillions into every feel good social programs and issue which will bankrupt this nations future in the process. You vote in a republican and they will start a war in some fleabag nation where we spend Godzillions to fight it and then to rebuild it only to be then spit at by that nations people and which will no doubt also bankrupt this nations future in the process. Both parties are the same power hungry crap, they only have a bit different agendas. Both sides also want to take away rights. The rights one side may want to take away may not be important to us, but it is to others and it's the same with rights that the other side wants to take away. Many just stick with the side they agree with most and don't give much thought to how the other side feels or how it will be effected. That is the problem with this nation. Just too many narrowminded people who refuse to take a minute to actually listen to the other side or stop and think how their agenda will effect others. Without honest discussions, compromises, and tough decisions, businesses fail, friendships fail, marriages fail, and will no doubt lead to this nations downfall. -
Sorry that you took this one personally, but having a cabin roof over your head even if it doesn't have water or electricity and no matter how primitive is a whole different ballgame compared to carrying or flying in a tent and a limited amount of gear that one needs to survive the elements. I know I would prefer the cabin any day of the week, but at the same time have to give the "toughing it out" award to the guys with the tents. They are more worthy of it. To me that is true definition of "camping".
-
It is interesting to read how the definition of the term "camping" varies from person to person. In my mind if you have a cabin roof over your head it isn't the same as someone who sleeps in a tent that could be blown away at any time. In my mind the tent is closer to what the term "camping" should mean.

I'm naming one "Blinky" and the other "Droopy Lip". The conversation they were having was actually pretty good and it was promoting trapping in a positive way.

From Pygmy. He's a hell of a nice guy. Me, Doe, Elmer, Culver and Elmo along with Pygmy recently met up for a few beers and he showed us some pictures of his past hunts. I scanned that one because it was really cool. You give Pygmy a couple of beers and he'd give you the shirt off his back. Below is a picture I took at the get together. He let us throw him around the room for a while. That was Elmer giving him a good toss!
-
Pygmy ain't kidding here either. Here he is getting him ready for the ride.
-
We make fun of Pygmy's height, but few here know that he packed out a whole 1100 pound bull moose by himself in Alaska in only two 8 mile trips back to camp! Not like the rest of us could do the same.
-
Oh man this is so funny! I am just visualizing this. She rings the doorbell and you open the door and then I see Pygmy looking right at the buck naked girl eyeball to pubic hair! LOL
-
Just how old Bubba likes it. She can romance him and fix him a sandwich all at the same time.
-
I posted a picture of Paula in the Bubba thread. I will let you guys decide whether she is hot or not. Hope the rest of her is better proportioned than her teeth.
-
Why would you think he's kidding? They once carried lavender M-1's but they kept bitching that recoil was too much for them to handle so they went to pink M-16's.

Like them or not, these AR type rifles appear to be here to stay. Go to any gun shop and there's more of them on the shelves than any other type of long gun. I definitely do NOT think that ex-military people are the ones who have made these guns popular in the hunting fields. Every ex-serviceperson is definitely not a hunter after all and it's not like every adult male has been in the service of late. It's more like the shooting magazines and gun manufacturers who have been pushing them. They have done one of heck of ad campaign to convince the public that these guns are good for hunting too. Whether they are or not could be argued, but what can't be argued is that the gun manufacturers have made a mint selling them. How many bolt, lever, pump and all other more traditional looking hunting guns can manufacturers continue to sell when everyone and their uncle already has one or three? The paramilitary guns were their next big sales push, so here we now are for better or worse.
-
Here's the picture of herself that Paula sent old Bubba and as you all can see it was love at first sight.

Wow, if cops hit most of the bystanders, this isn't going to be good. I know things go crazy in such situations, but these dudes need some better training. Will never forget a cop who once came to a rifle range with a new lever action rifle he just bought and had NO freakin clue how to load it. Needed the range officer to show him how. How the hell does someone even with the littlest of gun knowledge (which a cop should definitely have) not be able to figure out how to load a lever action rifle?? I was amazed when I saw that.

Oh great, now Elmer PM's me to tell me that saliva samples are sufficient for DNA testing after I close my office door and logged on to a porn site. Damn near had someone walk in on me!
-
Close. It's Tanzania.
-
Oh my goodness!! Of course only DNA testing will prove things for sure. We can send Elmer our specimen samples so that he can take it down to a lab to have it tested.

I've been told that I have a cousin named Horatio who was a goofball and then one day went off to upstate NY and was never heard from again. Could it possibly be Doe????
