The Tyrant Bloomberg Strikes Again
steve863 replied to Elmo's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
This is why I think NJ governor Chris Christie would make a great president. He could lead by example. He could say, "Hey look, the government made me fat, but it didn't stop me from becoming president". Did you hear that CA governor Jerry Brown challenged Christie to a 3 mile run and then to do some chin ups and push ups? Christie of course refused. I wonder if every one chin up that Christie would do could count as three, since he has three chins?? LOL -
If he thinks that some of us will just roll over and play dead on this topic, he has come to the wrong forum.
-
Why don't you stop your BS? You were the first to put out the blanket statement that those who don't agree with AR's are "brown it's down" guys. Who the hell are you to think we are that just because we have issues with AR's and with those who are pushing them? You can continue to hunt for trophies to your hearts content without AR's while we who don't care for trophies now must change because of what YOU want. So who is stepping on who here?? Sure as hell ain't my side.
-
Oh, and the mighty hunter you are! Should we all bow down to you, since we are the "brown its down" guys, while you think you are better because you hunt for horn? It's attitudes like yours that prove to the rest of us that AR's are nothing but a charade pushed by people who know jack$#!+!
-
No, it's not "ooh", more like "opa" to you fellas. LOL
-
I am not a fan of the youth hunt, because I don't think it will do much if anything to recruit new hunters and then keep them hunting that couldn't be done during the regular seasons. With that said, I see absolutely NO reason why bowhunters should think they will be hearing gun shots all day long during that weekend. Didn't someone state that the DEC is expecting 8000 youngsters to participate? Think about it, what is 8000 youngsters scattered throughout the state?? And I highly doubt it will be anywhere close to 8000 and you can throw in some of the bad apple adults who will be doing the shooting for the kids here too. Sure as hell isn't a BO army by any stretch.

See Doe, I told he was. He was the short kid in the back row whose sandals were held together by scotch tape.
-
Gee, WNY, didn't you post another rap type video on another thread? I thought me and Doe were the only Africans here?? You sure your not one of our fellow choir members from Tanzania??
-
We shouldn't forget that Deerthug is a lawyer AND Greek. That's a double whammy if there ever was one!
-
Elmo, why don't you PM Deerthug. He will tell you about the little greek kid who ran away from home because he didn't like the way he was being reared! LOL
-
Then ask the cookie monster for a date and leave the donkeys and does alone!! LOL
-
My goodness! First I hear that Bert & Ernie are gay, and now Elmo is into animals. What is God's green earth coming too???
-
Elmo, even I am speechless here. LOL Does your fiance know you start such threads on a hunting forum?? She better not or else you may be needing that donkey soon yourself. LOL
-
Now that is funny!!

Then it would have been worth the wait, or should I say weight?? -
These guys are all pu**i*s compared to his buddy Frankie the fixer.

I think Geno could have done that before getting in the shape he's in now. Even if he wasn't in good enough shape himself, he has a few bro's down at the pizzeria who could take care of it for him. LOL
-
Geno, NYantler wants to see a picture of your veins.

Well, I hope you can make it happen. I have been out west a good number of times and in my opinion shooting at such yardage is not as simple as some think it is. If you are looking for tips, my tip would be not to set your goals so high on the animals you want to kill. A 14 inch antelope and a 24 inch muley you won't find behind every hill. In my opinion it's a safer bet shooting a representative buck your first time out at more modest ranges, than screwing up on something bigger at a more risky distance.
-
How much shooting have you done at 300 to 400 yards? Anything over 150 yards is a long shot for most shooters who don't practice much. Just wait until you see a muley or an antelope at 300 to 400 yards. Just because you are shooting those Weatherby's honestly don't mean diddly. Shooting at that type of yardage takes a LOT of practice. The gun won't do it by itself for you. YOU are the one who will have to have that very steady hold.

Alot of fellow hunters pissin me off AGAIN!

I'm surely not much of a bowhunter, but I honestly don't know if one needs to panic over their bow this much? I would agree that more things can go wrong with it compared to a gun, but I know I picked my 1990 model bow again two years ago without firing a shot from it for a bunch of years. First time I shot it, it was still shooting just about dead on. I practiced maybe twenty minutes before marching out that season and proceeded to flatten a buck with it. At least for me shooting a bow up to maybe 25 yards is way EASIER than shooting a rifle at 100 yards in field positions. I still have plenty of reservations shooting at deer with a bow compared to a gun, but at least shooting at targets at a reasonable range I don't find it very difficult. -
Looks like the Columbus Day Youth season is on!

That was his way of telling you that you should have turned them in already. -
And the typical child of today will answer. "Yes, they are a HUGE pain in the butt!! That is why I want someone to teach me how to shoot and kill, so I can get them off my back once and for all!" LOL

I can just imagine taking some mothers I have known along. They would probably be bitching up a storm before you all got to the stand. They'd complain about everything from the weather, to the rough terrain, to asking you where you were trained to operate firearms. LOL Boy, I think that would be a hunting trip I'd really want to miss. LOL

Not like adults haven't abused kids in all sorts of ways, but it's not unheard of where kids have falsely accused adults also. Or been falsely accused by the parents of these kids. One can definitely open themselves up to big trouble by simply trying to be a nice. It's not worth the risk for most. We shouldn't forget that most of these mentors will be male. As a male there is absolutely NO way that I would babysit, teach, coach, etc. a kid or kids that are not my own without a woman present. Just NO way. And then I would want to take one into the woods all by myself???
