Sorry to hear that! I drove by the one shop (where I talked to you before) on Wednesday after an appointment, but it was all dark and no vehicles were around. Man that sucks! Time to hit Craigslist and make your rounds to all the local shops and dealerships! Hope you come across something soon!

No Doc, but I hunted for many years in PA with a rifle and I can tell you that there was no need to track most of the deer, because the shock of the rifle just dropped them where they stood, so no need for follow up shots!

I think whenever there is a change, and people are taken out of their comfort zone, some people tend to get weak at the knees and think the worst, like the sky is falling. Kind of like having the youth deer hunt during the bow season. Many thought there would be so many hunting accidents and bowhunters were gonna be shot. Were there any hunting accidents?? Don't think so! Rifles may prove to make things safer, as there will be more 1 shot kills, instead of guys emptying their guns and just throwing lead, hoping one will connect. JMO...

Very nice! Is that skunk cabbage growing in there? That grew fast between the first pic on 4/27 and the last pic on 5/2!! LOL

Maybe you were hearing a grouse drumming? Very common this time of year. I hear them a lot in the mornings.
