  1. My axis 308 is a great shooter but if you can go for the higher up savage it already has a Nikon on it.
  2. I gave up on wearing those damn things and just PAck unscented wipes to clean up now.
  3. I e never had a problem killing them in 70 degree weather, you just need to find the right spot as there is a lot of food and they don't need to travel as much.
  4. I had a pair that claimed to amplify the non loud sounds, they didn't. So I don't wear any for hunting but there great for the range.
  5. I use a Dremel and then square end with a screw and sandpaper, works like a charm.
  6. I tried that bow, I did not like the grip and how wide it was but it was shock free and light! Congrats on the new bow!
  7. Probably, they bed all the over the place, including My backyard!
  8. I thought you only had to tag once you confirmed the deer was dead? I only do that once I get down from my stand and go poke it.
  9. I make mine like that, but I use feed bags on the inside also. I have a ton of feed bags in Binghamton if you need them.
  10. I'd shoot her and let her lay as long as the temperature permits. Deer are curious and that extra scent can't hurt yah.
  11. Every time I bring my 22 there gone, if I don't and just check cams there everywhere.
  12. well you can hunt small game with a bow on public land in most places so I would assume so.
  13. That's the same way here in 7s, we have a high first chance but no second chance so everyone gets a 7r ( high second) and uses that tag in 7s. I actually have land in both zones so it works out for me.
  14. I always keep my finger behind the trigger while drawing. Another hint of advice. Never draw your bow with a release and no arrow on it. Releases can fail Causing dry fires.
  15. At least it happened not drawing on a big ol buck

    Rage again

2 blade are good to go
  17. Where they drop, deer come and sniff the pile sometimes.
  18. Also depending on your nocks and how they grip the string the resistance may be greater or lesser when leaving the string. Maybe I'm overthinking it!
  19. Just shoot the nocturnals, figure you'll have them on for Maybe a few minutes of practice, they last OVER 20 hours. Also I've found going to a 125 grain broadhead made them fly better for me with greater foc.
  20. Loc tite gel is what I use also, 2 degree offset works for me with any broad head.
  21. Shot a doe in 2012 with a peg leg, broken at knee then healed straight and unable to bend.
  22. I couldn't fill that many tags! In all seriousness you did the right thing and so would I.
  23. If I saw that bear and he was alone in my area id Take it, I live near a apple/berry orchard and i like the taste of Bear anyway.
