  2. Out this afternoon, cold and quiet. Heard my friend shoot, texted me a big doe so I went to help him out. When we got to the deer it was very big, except it was a buck with both sides shed off. Dressed and weighed 145lbs. Why are the antlers falling so soon?? He was kinda bummed about it being a buck but really, what could he do. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. 11 deer chased out of the thick stuff by a coyote I dare him to come back. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. It's still only Monday thru Friday right? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Murderer!.......lol congrats. Just saw one chase 10 deer out of the thick stuff. Naturally they ran the wrong way and not closer. Couldn't get a shot on the yote or the deer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. When calling I use the can 2x every 30mins to an hour. One bleat, wait 10 seconds then again. If I see a deer a ways away I will do 2-3 rapid fire. Seems to get there attention and makes them interested. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I have a friend that loves hunting anything. When I say anything, I'm talking from dove to African Safari. Nothing wrong with it, It's just who he is and what he likes to do. Personally I have 0 interest in more than half of his trophies. I have no interest in hunting lion or wildebeest or anything like that. But others do. I can't trash him or anyone who does just because I have no interest. Seems a bit crazy to think less of a person because he/she hunts a species I don't....don't ya think? Same thing with fox. I've had opportunity to shoot a few fox but passed. Just MY choice. I'd like to see more fox on my property. But if anyone shot a fox on my property or on this site, i'd be happy for them. I think this HHH (Hunters Hating Hunters) needs to stop before we lose focus on the fact we are all connected by our sport/love. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  10. I would shoot the deer. Wouldn't even think to call dec on that matter....if I wounded the animal, saw it suffer and know it will be a few hours of suffering, I would not hesitate to shoot the deer. It's a HUGE difference from night hunting/poaching/law breaking. Just my opinion but I would rather take the chance of getting in trouble than have the deer suffer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. not going to lie...this is great...good looks Mbucks27
  12. I'd go all in on saying DEC would care if it was an AR wmu and was less than 3pts on one side. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Just an FYI. On Long Island when hunting public land from October1-November 1 you can be in the woods up to 2 hours before listed sunrise. After November 1st it is No more than 1 hour before sunrise. If your in an hour and half before sunrise and DEC catches you they will kick you out of the woods and possibly fine you. 14. Where was the fat with black spots located on the deer ? Very strange. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Maybe you can use a riding lawn mower to drag out a deer and get paid for cutting the lawn too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Truth be told, starting the day after opening rifle I was going to fill the doe tag. That changed on the last day of bow I got a big doe and got the meat I needed. Tag soup last year so I was getting hungry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. i just recalled a time where i Had a doe tag and a big doe came in with a tiny fawn (last weekend)...i couldnt pull the trigger on her...i thought the fawn would have never survived without her...who knows what happened to them, maybe theyre still on my property... i really think it boils down to that feeling when you KNOW whatever deer you are going to take is the one...
  18. i have seen over 50 deer this season...could have filled a doe tag 42 times....I have a hard time shooting a doe because im constantly waiting for that buck to not be too far behind. I have never shot a doe before the last week of rifle season, its just my gameplan each season... if I don't harvest a doe, then thats 3 more deer i will hopefully see the following year. not knocking anyone, to each there own... Bow, to me, is different...I have no problem shooting a doe with the bow anytime...
  19. i hope he slips up...Good luck brother
  20. i cant see it completely but is that a tall racked buck behind the doe to the right?
  21. Sorry, here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
