  1. Well now it looks like I have to take a trip out to cebelas to get a credit card. I think I will wright bass pro a letter asking if they know about it. It won't get me anything but I would think a big company like Bass Pro wouldn't like BOA doing stuff like that.
  2. Anybody have any recurves or longbows they don't want? I am in the market to pick some up and have the itch to buy.
  3. The trip was good. I had a great time and it was a good group of people. The accomidations wher a basic hunting camp no frills nothing special. It was a dry place with air conditioning and some beds to lay down. After hunting all day long that is what you need. The food was good amd lots of it if you went away hungry it was your own fault. We where down on the border of south carolina and georgia. The closest town was Estill S.C. We all had a blast saw a ton of deer some coyotes and some pigs. I would go back again for sure. The only thing I would change was the info we got. The guy running the place kinda just sent us out on the property and said get a pig. He gave the spots they would be but never hunting pigs before we could have had a better tutorial of how to go about it.
  4. Well I got back from my pig trip. Saw some nice hogs and the second to last day I put a good stalk on a group. I got within 20 yards and had a shot took it and wham. I hit him. I aimed for the far shoulder because he was slightly quartering away from me. Well after a 300 yard blood trail and a grid search of the area I had to come back to new york pigless. I hit the far shoulder with my arrow the braodhead stayed in the far shoulder but I got the arrow back. I guess that is how it goes. Kinda made me sick to my stomach leaving the pig knowing I had hit him like that.
  5. I am leaving weds/thurs for south carolina for my hog hunt. Weather looks decent can't wait to go. It is a traditional archery hunt only so it should be interesting. I will take lots of pics and post some for you guys and gals. Wed can't come fast enough.
  6. Heading down to south carolina, georgia border to do some hog hunting. I have pulled directions for 87 to 95 or 88 to 81 to 95. The directions only give a 10 minute difference I was just wondering if any body travels those routes and if they have a lot of traffic. I know 95 through washington will be busy if we don't leave early enough. I am thinking I will have to leave around 2 in the morning to beat traffic in DC. What do you guys think? The trip says 16 hours and we have to be down there around 6 thursday evening.
  7. Heres a link for ya. http://www.3riversarchery.com/product.asp?i=9106
  8. I use a muskrat fur silencer. They work great, you do have to scotch gaurd them if you are going to hunt in heavy rain though. You do have to inner twine them into you string though.
  9. Guessing I guess the first post saying 10 boxes 20 rounds in a box wasn't enough. Sorry just thought that was enough info. No ruffles here and hopfully I am not growing any feathers I might get hit by a bullet the next time I go hunting. Hahaha. I kill myself.
  10. Ok let's not get stupidly technical about BULLETS. I think everybody probably knew what I mean by buttets specailly with the price? If I did create mass confusion and your world is comming to an end because of it I am truly sorry. On the other hand it doesn't matter because the BULLETS (loaded ammo) are sold.
  11. They are remington bullets and I want to say 200 grns and yes Albany area.
  12. 35 whelen one case full 10 boxes 20 rounds per box. Selling for 260 if anybody is interested.
  13. I will take some pics for you guys for sure. Right now I am shooting like a crazy man getting a back up bow set up for murphy's law and so on. It will be a great break and a lot of fun. I will keep you guys updated.
  14. I am heading down hog hunting in south carolina at the end of Feb. Can't wait. We are heading down to Ray Hammond hog heaven. He put the hunt on for Traditional bow hunters only and it is a no dog fair case hunt. Can't wait.
  15. Hey thanks for the info. I will pass it along to my friend which now can't shoot the bullets that he bought. He has a case of 35 whelen for 260 if anybody wants them. Price is probably negotiable.
  16. A friend bought a marlin 35. Now he got a good deal on a case of 35 whelen shells. Can he shoot these through his gun somebody said they where different and somebody said they were not. He doesn't want to shoot them if he can't. Any help would be great.
  17. I was told the other day that the way the law reads it is the discretion of the officer. Kind of crazy.
  18. If it wasn't reported maybe they turned it loose. I would take the shot it would be meat in the freezer. If you shot something like that I am syre it would get back to the game farm rather quickly and then the story would get straightened out. I would think with the amount of money put into those deer that he would know it was gone and if he didn't say anything then it was fair game. Also some might not even know that it got out if the guy didn't report it. With people traveling to there hunting camps hours away how would one know when showing up on friday night. That being said I don't think the law could get you on shooting it.
  19. They look awsome nice work. Are you doing these freehand or stencilling them then burning?
  20. Are there any food plots that you would start now. Even with the frozen ground.
  21. To add to the question does anybody use rifle scopes on the shotgun and how does that work?
  22. I am looking for a shotgun scope. I was wondering what you guys use and have had good luck with.
