had problems with the old computer hope it works this time.

What happened was I got on the forum to upload a pic and I hit upload and it just started chugging then and antivirus scan came up. So I shut everything down and then it wouldn't let me do anything else. My computer wouldn't run any programs. It is fixed now though they it guy said it was deeply infected and it only took seconds to get that way. Crazy I just wanted to send a warning hopfully it was just a fluke instance that happened to me.

Be carefull I tried to post a topic and got a virus. I was trying to attach apic and it went down. Just a heads up.

I thought you were going to blam it on the citdiots. Haha. Sucks to loose a big boy like that or have it get hit by a car. Last weekend hoping to put one more in the freezer with the 54 cal or an arrow. We will see this weekend.

Alright one week of 4h left. Are we done because our freezer is full tired or are we still hunting. I am still hunting haven't even seen a buck yet out there.

On stand for the afternoon going to need a warm meal and a cup of joe when I get home. It is super quite here. Sun feels good though.

I don't think it should be about grouping at all. If a slug hold a 2 inch group at 50 yards and doesn't produce a blood trail but a slug that holds a 4 inch group at 50 yards and produces knockdown power and good trailing is the way to go. I would take a little less accuracy over a a super group on a piece of paper. Paper dies easy deer don't.

It's the same old thing "I thought it was a deer". They should loose there licence. JMO

That is funny. I have a 40 by 40 fenced yard and 2 beagles and Lab. So my wife puts them out one day and I hear them bark like the beagles are chasing something then a lot of squealing. So my wife goes to the window and starts screaming bloody murder so I get up thinking another dog has gotten in or something else and is attacking the dogs. My wife busts out the door and is still screaming at ridiculous levels. I run out not knowing if I should have gotten the gun first but I find out that the lab had caught a rabbit (squealing) and chucked to the beagles. All three dogs where having the time of there life with the rabbit. Well all the neighbors come running out because of my wifes screaming and I am just laughing at the sight. My wife wasn't to pleased with me but the dogs were doing what they were suppose to do. The lab retrieved a rabbit for the beagles to play with hahah

Thse are what I use now with a smooth bore and they have great blood trails and they shoot well for me.

Ok so now I have some slugs to research. That being said has anybody shot the plain old slugs through a fully rifled barrel like these?

I was hunting with one guy and he swore he had a good shot on the deer and we found the deer 100 yard away from where he shot it. It was a good shot just no blood. I only say this because I have heard this from numerous people that are ligit hunters good shots(family, close friends that i have hunted with). Not saying they can't make a bad shot but we recovered some of these deer after shooting with them and no blood but good shot placment. The deer never ran any farther than 130 yards we just had to search to find them. I am just trying to find out what slugs are out there and what people use and have good luck with.

I know a few people that have taken a few deer and had no blood trails with the sabots. I am looking at getting a canterlever barrel fully rifled and want to know what you guys shoot. 12 guage. I shoot the winchester sluggers right now and they leave a blood trail that you can find in the dark with out a light. I love them but just a little wary of the sabots.

No less than 3 hours at a rip. I try to sit till 11 in the am and be back on at 130 if at all possable. I stand all day most of the time only switching stand locations inbetween.

Live from the stand sort or. (Day late). Last night had 3 deer behind me and deer running all over to each side couldn't see the ones out front but it sound like they where chasing doe.

I have heard of them followiing hunters before. I think there is another thread somewhere on here about it.

Yellow alway seems to make glare worse I would get a lightly darkened pair of polerized sun glasses.

It shouldn't be a finE up to 4000 dollars it shoud just be 4000 dollars if u are caught.

To answer the question before. Spikes will be bigger deer the next year.
