Finally got back to the stand. I am glad nothing changed though still didn't see anything. I am going for the long haul tonight 12 to dark maybe the big boy will show himself.

My shotgun looked worse than tha but I refinshed it two years back now it is a real nice blond color. THey get used that is for sure *870 is a good gun.

The answer to that question is the deer are in the underground railroad. They travel there during the day and out in the woods at night!!

Sorry kot2b I saw an opportunity and I took it. That rub was hard to make with my ears though. I think I got some bark burn now. I carry an extra deer hoof just for those times.

Greenhunter what part of 4h do you hunt I am over there to no deer this week. Warm temps seeing new sign in the morn but that is it.

Back on the afternoon sit had some limbing to do in another spot. Let's hope tonights the night. P rockets I have a head to boil also I have to find a pot so I can fit the head in then I am golden.

What are you using to boil that with and what is it boiling in(container)?

I always use a drag rope with deer. I also got a deer cart for this year and that works awesome. Now my question is is how do you do it? I always tie the feet close to the head make the rope short enough to keep the head somewhat off the ground. I also always find a stick to put into the rope as a handle so the rope doesn't cut into my hands. I use a drag rope even on bucks with good racks always seemed easier for me. Let's here yor tricks for dragging.
