  1. Heck yea buddy! Can't wait to see pics of him or her Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  2. Got a text at 445am saying my job is canceled. Rushed out the house and was in a stand just before 6am. Lot of daytime movement yesterday so I'll be out until dark unless me or my father in law shoot something. Good luck all Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  3. Dang, can't beat that price Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  4. Things are definitely heating up around here. After flubbing my opportunity at a decent 8, rain hit here around noon and I headed out. Had some running around to do and saw 3 different bucks in 3 different fields while driving around, all between 130pm and 230pm. Got a small job in the morning but I'll be back in a stand as soon as I possibly can. Hopefully the next few days will make up for the slow season so far Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  5. Finally had some action and I blew it. The neighbors field on the other side of this creek is really tall brown brush that's pretty hard to see deer in. Well I saw a white tail just flickering in the middle of the field so I'm trying to see what it is in the binos(definitely a deer but never found out if it was a buck or doe) all of a sudden I look to my left and a decent 8 is 20 yards away coming at me. Must have caught me reaching for the crossbow and bolted. One little flickering tail just saved that bucks life... for now! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  6. You're not missing much in 4b Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  7. Just saw 2 fawns, I guess there are deer back here Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  8. Squirrels are already starting to tease me. Had 3 doe walk by here yesterday at 10am while I was at work. No bucks following them. Like I've said before, I feel like we're always a week or 2 behind most of you guys with rut activity. Any daytime movement is very encouraging though. Somebody on here ought to spill some blood today Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  9. Woke up an hour before my alarm even with the time change. I must be excited for crossbow! Had to work yesterday unfortunately. Can only hunt the morning because I have my first deer to mount for the season coming in. Nice 9 a friend of a friend shot Friday evening. Not sure what stand to go to, weather says SSW wind but only 1 mph and the only cam I've been getting any pics on is next to a stand that's facing north. It's on a hill so I'm hoping the thermals carry my scent up. Been the slowest season I've ever seen on this property in 4b but I'm not giving up. Good luck to everyone!!! 10. Dang, almost had another customer! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  11. That is a big neck for a 4 point! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  12. Guy down the road from here says he has Hollywood deer... he sees them in pictures but never in real life Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  13. Is group 2 looking for new members? Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  14. Wow! I wish 4 small bucks and 2 does was a slow morning for me. That's more deer than I've seen all season Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  15. Well my streak of seeing no deer is over. Spike 400 yards away across the creek on the neighbors side. I'm gonna count this as a win Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  16. Anyone else's wind changing every 10 minutes? Hoping once the sun comes out the thermals will bring my scent behind me up the hill Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  17. Had a little bit of excitement last evening. Around 6pm I am about to pack up but I see some movement maybe 40 yards away. It's getting a little too dark to see my pins but it looked too small to be a deer anyway. I get a better look and determine it's a reddish blonde colored coyote. He came in to 20 yards but never had a real clear shot so he got a pass. He gets well out of range and I put the bow back on the holder and check him out with the binos. Not a coyote, huge red fox. Would have made a great mount. Oh well, at least I had some kind of action. Job for this morning got canceled so I'm heading back down. Temperature drops in early Nov are usually a recipe for success, at least that's what I've heard. Good luck to everyone going out Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  18. Squirrels and chipmunks are doing a lot more chasing than the deer are down here. This has got to be my slowest season ever. Still have not seen a deer while hunting since Oct 1st Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  19. Seems like where I hunt is always a week or 2 behind when you guys have the most rut action. I see more daytime movement from about the 12th - 20th. At least that's what I'm going to tell myself if I don't see anything these next couple sits Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  20. Congrats on 2 sweet bucks fellas!!! I'm getting real jealous of almost everyone on here for seeing some action. Last deer I saw while hunting was a dead 8 point that was rotting in front of my stand. Haven't seen a live deer since the doe I shot on opening day. Getting pics but I'm always a day late and a buck short!!! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  21. Good looking dog!!! Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  22. I'm with you... love KEO channel but naming deer just doesn't sit right with me. Makes them seem more like livestock than wild animals. To each their own though Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
  23. There's one leaf that's barely holding on swinging in the breeze just like a tail would wag. Every time I look in that direction it fools me into thinking it's a deer! Maybe I'm just getting desperate because I haven't seen a thing since opening day while in a stand Sent from my SM-G975U using Tapatalk
