  1. Garmin e-Trex original. Nothing fancy, basic model, fully functional, slight mark on screen that doesn't effect view(have to hold to reflection to see it). Decent reception, but not as good in heavy timber or deep cuts. Both manuals, quick start and full length. LowePro case is NOT included........$25 shipped Motorola talkabouts.......like new with removable belt clips...take AA batteries. Used on one fishing trip...... $25 shipped. More details; http://www.buytwowayradios.com/products/motorola/motorola-t5720-aa-bl-2.aspx
  2. Bear 76'er takedown with the heavier #45 limbs. New string. Decent shape, no cracks. Hunt or for fun........$60 shipped.
  3. Stated with slugs from the bird barrel on my 20ga 870. Then a smoothbore, but sighted barrel for same. Started with the muzzleloader and that did both seasons duty. This year bought a bolt action slug gun in 20ga; easy to shoot and excellent accuracy....Savage 220 with an Aimpoint 9000sc on egw rail.
  4. Just thoughts.... 4x6 is going to have small 12" tires. I'd rather have a 4x8 with a 13". A 4x8 will also allow you to shift the tounge weight for better ride by moving the load. Highway sway at speed is no fun with an ass heavy little trailer. A little longer will also be easier to back up. A guy I know in the trailer business has a sign in his shop something like, "folks will spend 5K on a ATV or sled; but they want to spend 100 bucks for a trailer to tow them around on"
  5. Why is it even here? It has nothing to do with hunting anymore than me putting a bullet in one of my pigs. The only common denominator is it happens to be a deer that is being pest controlled.
  6. +1. And don't be using that knife to be scraping on parts. You can find cheap plastic picks in a craft store (think dental tools but plastic) ; that and a couple old tooth brushes.
  7. Thats cool; look forward to hunt report from that one.
  8. Good head lamp, not a clip on a hat brim one; one that works, like a Petzl or Black Diamond. Woods will get black quick and it'll leave you hands free if you need to check up on a shot taken in the evening. Most of all some good luck! Have fun!
  9. Cool to hear a good turn around for the bow phade. I've had two companies go to bat for me on hunting products above and beyond; always good there are places that'll stick by fellow hunters.
  10. Bought a Hoyt also for many of the same reasons. Spider 30. Very happy with it and was a much needed upgrade over a 10 year old starter bow. First adult deer that crosses my path is getting one. Good hunting!
  11. Part of the backround for trying in NY was because of other states successful programs. Great to hear your example of its rewards.
  12. Where did Buffalo Gun Club relocate when they left Maple Rd? When back visiting I shot skeet there a couple times.
  13. Sure......Look at the last 20 years of whitetail hunting. More trophy hunting orientated then even when I started. And a whole bunch of products and TV time to support it all.
  14. HOLY CRAP! Read between the lines folks...... Big "Company" Leader $$$$ Data mining. Phade is NSA!!! Maybe hes know's Snowden! Does it help if I just yank all the wires right out the wall? OMG...I just outed a G-man!
  15. Too bad....I already have a Slovak last name so I would be a shoe-in with the folks back there.
  16. Cool.... That Stag euro is a smokin' deer. The curl on the Mouflon (between the windows in the top pic for those playing along) is top notch also. Good stuff! All I know is about 20 curse words; so maybe I could either get a laugh or my head bashed in.LOL I've hunted a couple times with some language barrier. In the end every hunter is the same and you always find common ground, its why I would rather travel and hunt, than hunt at home if I always had the funds. Hey, your girl friend have a sister? LOL
  17. Nice higher end leather rifle sling; like a Murray A-1. Surefire flashlight and a couple 12 packs of 123A batteries. Some damn good Mouflon hunting in Slovakia and Roe deer is now open and when you are going.......just sayin'. Been trying to find a Roe hunt in eastern Slovakia for a couple years with limited success. Czech Republic has a better set up for visiting hunters.....but someday. Trying to find a hunt in the general region where my grandfather hunted as a youth. Bratislava is supposed to have some good eats....have a fun trip.
  18. Hey Joe..... Just think now you are just a young guy and you already have 2 dudes fighting over ya'.... Not sure if thats good or bad, maybe depends what side of the plate you are batting from..... I'm not judging.
  19. According to this mornings email its on the truck and headed this way.Already have the UPS tracking number. A box of 300 WBY; some 28 ga. Don't know? I see other places where using "Rochester" gets orders canceled......folks are using local names as a work around.
  20. I'm already out of pop-corn. I just made pizza. Just think by page 5 or 6.....awesome.
  21. Hmmmm.....honest don't remeber what the scope was; getting old.LOL Owner shot an honest group. I did less than 2" without much fussing. Overall for a beat family heirloom, I'd take it. The fact that it was a 280 and not a vanilla 30-06 helps. LOL Some before; Leeched the oil out of the wrist; http://i634.photobucket.com/albums/uu62/dinsdaleP/hvs/IMG_2065_zpsa1d546c9.jpg And after; I'm hoping that he saves up a bit for a reblue job, gunsmith I know will do it reasonable and nice.
  22. I helped a guy on another forum out with a mid-1950's Woodsmaster in 280 Rem. I did the wood over, fixed up a nasty crack in the fore end and he cleaned up the metal a bit after I helped take it down to parts and reassembled it. With a older serviceable scope it did 1 1/2" groups with Core-locs, fed and ejected flawless. Pleasent to shoot. All said I'd rather have a Sauer 303; but you need to add a zero to the end of a typical Remington used price. LOL
  23. I just put some ammo on an order.....no problem, double checked by phoning it in where I normally just go through on-line. Already have a completed order in stock confirmation email. This BS was bound to happen, it just needed Sandy Hook and a split control of the Senate to get put inplace.....all the SAFE act stuff is bits and pieces of many bills written over the years that finally didn't die in committee. Sad times.
