  1. Next week, this will be going on. If weather is good, I'm going thursday.
  2. Our's will be called the "Southeast Region". Area's are Long Island, NY City, Weshchester County, Putnam, Dutchess, Orange, Sullivan, Ulster. Sullivan May be to far though. We also have Region's broken down on here. Why not use that. If 2 region's want to combine, then great.
  3. Alright Elmo, Lets do a Long Island, all the way to Dutchess county one. I'd be up for a meet and greet. Let's wait till april or later. I'm also up for an annual Crow hunt with the guys we get. May be fun in Early fall to meed at Stewart or somewere else. Just a thought. In April is also Trout fishing season. If we most of us fish, we can meet up and have a fishing party. Ant thoughts about this guys from these locations. Give me your input.
  4. I hunt Dutchess county. They are around, believe me. You have any gear?
  5. Good. Putnam county would be the closes as far as getting out NYcity area. If your hunting weekends or days off, hitting dutchess isn't to far. Not sure how far in city you are though.
  6. If you don't have your "DEP" permit, it will limit your places.
  7. Hey Shawnu, I'm doing well. I like the light. What's the story behind these lights.
  8. Off to my 1st crow hunt this season. Been a rough time physically lately. If anybody is up to join, feel free. Going to stewart on 207 side, by the yellow house. Just need shells and gun.
  9. Low stress..Hmmm. Coyote hunting is awesome. Go to "BARK AT THE MOON" web site. Lots of information there
  10. Awesome. Welcome to the club. "YOU GOT SCHOOLED", LOL. It's addicting stuff. Go to "BARK AT THE MOON" it's a awesome web site. You can get ideas from there. The guy who started site is from Webster area. Good luck. Keep us posted on your grades at SCHOOL.....
  11. Neither. You should start out with just a crow call. All you want to do is get there attention and let them know you are there. After firing, then you can use these calls. Not for a long time though. They get use to it quickly.
  12. Thanks for your input. It is the parking spot off Nichols Rd. Right behind the tennis court is what I was talking about. I wanted to due some Coyote/fox calling there at night time. I've never hunted or walked the land before. Thanks for the correction on the County as well.
  13. AAHHHH, Crow Hunting. My favorite type of hunting. I go as much as I can every year. Wish I had more time to give my input, but off to night shift. Love the stories though.
  14. Question: The parking spot by Gypsy Trail, there is a open field way in the back. Not sure if the is Huntable.Does anyone know the boundries of that area. Thanks in advance
  15. OMG!!!! I'm laughing so hard I'm crying. Nice one
  16. I've done that. It's great to have 10,000 acres to yourself and maybe 1 car when southern tier is open.Northern is open 3rd week in October. IK it's a hike, but sullivan county may be your best bet and it's closer. Good luck.
  17. I went out last night. 2 sets, had yotes calling but no takers. I did racoon hunting in my high school years. It's a whole different world in the woods at night. The things I hear are amazing. I ran into a DEC rep at 9pm at night on back woods. She was checkeing the land because of the college kids walking thru it as a short cut to town. I'm off tomorrow and may go back out tonight for a while. I just got 2 books written by Andrew L. Lewand. He started Bark At The Moon web site. Go there, tons of knowledge.
  18. I hunted that 7 years ago and there was me, and 6 guys putting on drives. Most of the time, there is no one. I like it up there. I need to get up and coyote hunt up there sometime soon.
  19. Congratulations. Love the way you announced it
  20. I have one under my trailer now. Comes out after 10ish at night. I'm coming up with a game plan to seal the side he's going in on. I have to make sure the rest of the place is sealed up pretty good. Which it is except for 1 spot. I will have to do this after he leaves at night. This is going to suck. I will do half of it during the day but have the other half prep and ready to go. I plan on tickling his tail as he leaves though, then say cheeseeeeeeee .... I also have to seal the hole/home after he leaves. Going to pour Post hole cement in hole with a tad of water. Upon exiting, I will have rags soaking in Bleach/Ammonia and make sure he's detoured from coming back. I also got a lot of xmas lights free that I will string up and have ready for back up. Did I miss anything?
  21. I use a couple decoys and also use combo Mouth/Electronic calls. It's a blast. Pay attention and don't move till last second.

    Fishing charter

Before you book, you need to ask the Captain if you get to keep the fish. Some captains will not allow you to keep the fish. Get the specifics before you go.
  23. Kenco Outfitters north of kinston on Rt 28. Great Kayak place. Will be having a sale in couple weeks. May be pricy but lots to chose from. They have the ones you stand up in and fish from them. Look them up. Good luck
  24. My uncle and I drove around and when they landed, we asked and a lot of farmers said no. I'm hoping to do some this year if my schedule permits it.
