Imperial session ale. That like a jumbo shrimp ?!

So we've been up since 3 a.m hunting birds and whooped. Buddy sends text " hey , any chance you could help plant some pine trees?" Absolutely. Buddy is incredible hunter but was involved in a terrible auto accident in December of 2014. Mere inches of cheating death. He's paralyzed on his left side , battled thru severe brain injury , speech problems etc. Amaxing how far he's come in recovery and still hunts . He just got back from Ohio this afternoon from taking his younger kids and wife turkey hunting He and son doubled on birds in Texas about 2 weeks ago. Nothing going to slow him down. 44 years old with turkey slam , turkey shotgun slam , 100 + birds , 140 class deer barely make the cut. His intention of planting these trees is to get kids involved in the planting and then seeing the trees grow over the years as they will have permission to hunt there for their participation. How could we say no to such a great idea ! Lives in Bennington. He drove wheeler pulling cart full of trees, his daughter dropped them at each hole. Wife , my daughter , his buddy and 2 younger kids planted Managed to get in roughly 400 Norway spruce and white pines. All of us had a blast but sure to be sore in the morning. We also feel great helping out.

I'm ditching the dekes. Twice now I know birds saw them and hung up. Woods are sparse. Going to make them come looking for me.

Day 8. Turkeys won again. Still great day to be in the woods.

So there's a slug on the inside of our blind. Daughter named it Jerome. I thought Speedy. It took close to an hour for it to crawl a foot. I'm a mean bastid. I used a stick and started him back from where he started No birds talking

cute lil bugger. In HS my buddy had 2 little ones that their mama got hit by car. We stuffed them in our shirts while riding our bikes to go fishing. They loved going fishing with us. Really fun to watch. My dad and brothers also used to have pet ones. They all worked at a golf course, my brothers and dad , not the coons lol. They'd sit on the golf cart seat and ride around. Dad's would sit on the back of his truck seat. Dad always had starmints in his front shirt pocket. Coon would reach into his pocket and steal a piece, unwrap it and eat it.

I know nothing of how they work, what sounds can you make with them ?. Tough to master ?

That she is. I dig her pet fox that follows her around. Thought it was odd she personally felt threatened by a wolverine hanging out around her place. Never heard of a wolverine being confrontational without perhaps being cornered.

Dang, that sucks. Sorry man. I've lost 2 deer in my life so I know the feeling. That's 2 too many IMO. I still get a sick feeling about both. Both shots I thought right in the boiler room, didn't rush them. Just went bad for some reason. Good read BTW
