Nary a turkey sound. Woodpeckers , crows , blue jays , chickadees, thrush , cardinals , red wing black birds , geese , yellow shafted flicker. You name it and it's singing. Rain to almost nothing.

Cogdon trail had new cabins or at least redone a few years ago. They smelled of new cedar and pretty clean. Honestly don't remember the amenities. There's bathroom right nearby as well.

100% chance of rain Sunday. Not entirely pleased. Hopefully birds hit field mode and rely on sight as rain will dampen their hearing for predators. Sounds good on paper.

Let em grow , Be careful. Just when you think the woods are to yourself , they're not. I've literally had " private " woods go bad. POS literally ran between me and decoy to cut off bird I had on string. Let's just say I shared some unpleasantries with guy.

Nada. Youth hunting last Saturday, no action. Sunday we had 2 birds at 200 yards displaying for 45 minutes but couldn't coax them in any closer. Tipped over 13 birds from my tree. Hoping for the best. Perhaps a double for daughter and I. That's my hunting fantasy at least. I'd give anything for that double though

I've never heard of anyone shooting a bird during spring season in a stand. Not to say it can't be done. Unlike deer I think birds may look up. Wear your scent lock ????
