WNY, I agree that much of the grandstanding by the gun control advocates in the aftermath of Newtown has been in poor taste. But, I don't think that's a good comparison to what I took exception with on this thread. A few weeks ago, there was a public defender, who was licensed and armed when he was shot and killed by some thug in Texas. I don't recall any advocates for gun control ranting and raving or making wisecracks about how being a gun owner or even carrying a weapon doesn't guarantee your safety. That, to me, would have been a fair comparison.

Assuming there was no pathological cause for the fracture, he's still facing a very difficult recovery.

Culver, you're referring to the legs, yes? I'm new to turkey hunting and got my first bird last spring. I breasted it out. It was quick and easy. But, I felt guilty about leaving not making use of the rest of the bird. I'll keep the legs next time and maybe smoke them and use them in a soup. Does anyone roast the whole bird?

Thanks Culver. Yeah, I can see why you'd have an issue with that. At the very least, I would think that your family should be paid fair market value for them if they are required to turn them in.

Culver, that document looks like a summary that didn't come directly from the governor's office. Do you know for sure if the actual law wasn't just paraphrased or misinterpreted? I don't see it in the actual bill itself. But, like I said, it would be easy to miss.
