Easy BizR. What doe said is true, most of us hockey fans would be quick to drop the gloves to defend our religion, i mean hockey. And regarding 'Matteau!!!!'- as a diehard Islander fan, i still get sick over that memory. Thanks for reminding me.

i have cablevision and i hate them. as a sports fan, i hate the idea of putting any money in the pockets of jim dolan. the service keeps getting worse and the price keeps going up. don't have fios in my area yet- long island. will probably go with fios as soon as it's available. although, if i can't my hockey games in hd, it'll be a tough decision.

if you read the labels and look at the 'active ingredients', you can see that, for the most part, they're all the same. sometimes a cold triggers a histamine reaction that makes your symptoms worse- you might try an anti-histamine or some kind of OTC allergy medication.

you guys are funny the way you're so quick to believe, misinterpret, and repeat any nonsense that is consistent with your own thinking.

What is this country coming to??

What you fail to understand is that 'the acts' that you referred to are different in that one is a horrific crime against defenseless children, and the other is simply a relationship between two consenting adults- a relationship that you don't understand. And, the only thing more pathetic than comparing the two is your lame attempt to backtrack. If you see a gay couple and it makes you uncomfortable, look away. If you see a child being raped and you 'look away', you're an accessory to a crime. -

Right. You're not ignorant, just misunderstood. -

We know you're ignorant. You don't have to keep proving it. To compare homosexuality to pedophilia is the most classically ignorant thing ever. -

Sadly we do pay for abortions and gay marriage through our taxes and future generations will pay emotionally if they are raised by gay couples. Not saying heterosexual couples are all perfect but homosexuality is a mental condition that effects the brain to the point that the individual doesn't know what gender to re-produce with. Not trying to be mean but that is a form of mental illness. You many not be mean. But, you are without a doubt, ignorant. And to follow up such a stupid statement by stating that these claims are backed up by science and fact only shows how ignorant you really are. if you're so concerned about 'the cost' of gay marriage and the impact of gay parents raising children, i wonder how many children you have adopted or fostered. And, since you brought up 'science'- FYI: same sex couples don't reproduce, they usually adopt. -
I'm in 7R. Did take a nice 4pt on opening day of gun season. I saw a few does and one real nice buck during bow season; and a few does during ML. Overall, it was a bit slower than usual. I agree, it was just so warm and a lot of the deer movement seemed to be overnight.

Make up your mind, do you want to use your definition or not? It seems you agree with me and just stated so, thanks. Other than that your justification is not there, they were fighting for a nation that didn't exist yet? Wow, talk about taking poetic license. I can't tell if you're serious. The colonists probably saw themselves as patriots of America or the American Colonies, as opposed to loyalists to England. Are you saying that we should consider the founding fathers traitors because they didn't remain blindly loyal to England? The only 'poetic license' on my part is recognizing that the colonists/founding fathers probably considered themselves to be patriotic toward the nation that they sought to establish, as opposed to the one that they intended to seperate from. -

Some might even call the founding fathers...free thinkers! Bite your tongue!!! -

According to that definition Virgil none of the Founding Fathers or anyone who fought in this nations Revolution were Patriots. Since they didn't support England, their country at the time. Are you for real? They were patriotic in regards to the country that they were fighting to establish. England was the country that they were fighting against. I'm sure that the British considered them to be traitors. So, in this case, one nation's traitor is another nation's patriot. -

Skillet, please. I couldn't care less about how you feel about my beliefs on gun control or anything else, for that matter. And for the record, we haven't traded insults- I don't recall insulting you in any way. -

You're right Steve, it is possible. However, a lot of people choose to equate their own religion and political affiliations with some form of moral superiority. This approach allows them to feel better about themselves and demonize the opposition. -

Nice work, woofer. You post the dictionary definition of the word, and then distort it to fit your own version. By your definition, it seems that gun ownership is a prerequisite to patriotism. Dave, your posts are so dopey, that they're not worth responding to anymore. -

I NEVER said I or anyone that holds the same thoughts and values as me are stewards of patriotism or family values but I can assure you that Liberals are not. it is directly contradictory to their beliefs. I'd love for you to expand on this. Are you saying that anyone who you consider 'liberal' is anti-America and has no 'family values'. What exactly do you mean? I'd like you to explain to me, seeing as you know me so well, how i have no 'family values', and why you deem me unpatriotic. And, please use facts, as you requested earlier. Are you and your like minded cronies in charge of determining the definition of word 'patriot'? You've got guys on this thread insulting all non-Christian religions and proclaiming America to be 'a Christian country'; and others declaring themselves ready to 'defend' themselves from anyone they feels 'threatens' the christianity of the country. These posts sit well with you; but, you label 'liberals' as unpatriotic and without 'family values'. Again, i love the hypocrisy. -

Both sides of the political spectrum aren't worth a poop if you haven't noticed. I am sure our US military is strong enough to take care of us and will not likely need a few guys with hunting rifles missing the hypothetical enemy. Dave, this is a hunting website, you are sounding like a fool. Doewhacker, I couldn't agree more with all three of your points. Dave, I have no interest in your acceptance. But, thanks for proving my point. -

It's funny the way you guys attack anyone with a differing opinion or perspective- immediately dismissing any thought process other than your own as naive and misguided. Then, you're so quick to make accusations of name calling, while declaring yourselves to be the stewards of 'patriotism and family values'. The best part is the religious photographs next to names of the guys posting hateful rhetoric. So many of you love to suggest that this website should be for right wing extremists only- then, you like to make silly statements about the values that this country was founded upon. I've always found hypocrits to be fascinating- and these threads never disappoint. -
God helps those that help themselves... and that would be no different here... And how does 'God' feel about birth control?
-
First of all.. not sterilization.. birth control- Really?, look up the definition of tubal ligation. God helps those that help themselves... and that would be no different here... OK, fine. But, doesn't the bible contain a few verses about charity for the poor?

Also, your message seems a bit inconsitent with the photo attached to your profile.

making recipients of public welfare money act responsibly to get that money is not infringing on their rights I feel that there should be strict regulations regarding who qualifies for welfare and medicaid in order to prevent abuse. But, to say that sterilization and the loss of the right to vote is not an infringement on someone's rights is absurd- and hypocritical.
