Live From The Woods 2022 Turkey Edition
Buckmaster7600 replied to fasteddie's topic in Turkey Hunting
All of you fellas that don’t like to or want to get up early the 9-12 shift is when I’ve killed probably 3/4’s of my turkeys. After the first week or so I rarely can get myself up before daylight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I couldn’t agree more! Instead of listening to the BS from every and all sides it’s time we start nipping this stuff in the bud. You can’t tell me that a parent, teacher, family friend etc. didn’t see the signs. Hell he made a previous threat! Why wasn’t he dealt with then or at least locked up? As I said before from someone that deals with evil on a daily basis it doesn’t ever stop it’s merely hidden. Someone willing/wanting to hurt a fellow human without warrant should no longer be treated as a human and is merely an animal! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Nobody with a brain wants a civil war, but here are many of us that are smart enough to realize that the country is too far gone to be fixed any other way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just did the math and it cost me 27$ to mow my lawn. I’m thinking once a month is going to be good enough until something changes. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

History has proven for eons that the only thing g that stops evil is death. If this little ass hole would have been killed the first time he threaten his evil intent we wouldn’t be having this discussion. Evil is never helped or saved it’s sometimes hidden. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well if he goes to a state court he’ll likely be out in a few weeks on bail reform. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not if but when - You will get Covid

For the record I’m pro choice on vaccine but pro mandatory abortion, if you can’t afford to feed it I’ll pay for the abortion! A few hundred dollars for the abortion is much cheaper than supporting it for 18+ years! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I’ll probably die from it but I’ve still yet to feel a symptom. Tested positive twice but I have very little trust in the testing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
I learned at a young age on my first combat deployment that tomorrow wasn’t a guarantee. When I lost my dad 5 years ago it solidified it for me, I feel like my dad died with a lot more wants than memories and that still bothers me to this day. He could have afforded it but he always wanted to make more money or had another excuse why he couldn’t do something. I live every day like it’s my last. There’s nothing I want for. If I want something without going into debt I buy it. If there’s something I want to do I do it. I eat what I want, drink what I want, I exercise only because I need to be in shape to hunt the way I want to hunt not for the health benefits. No offense to any of the older crowd but I don’t know many people that are in there 80’s+ that seem very happy. I’m totally ok being gone the day after I can’t do what I want. Proposed crossbow legislation for 2022
Buckmaster7600 replied to nyslowhand's topic in CrossBow Hunting
You sound like a woke idiot! Been hanging out with chef and lefty? As stated my daughter can’t draw the legal minimum. My ex wife was a college softball player and she couldn’t draw 55lbs. I’m pretty sure I remember Tiffany talking about drawing 42lbs. Not to mention most able men can probably draw a 100lb bow back in their yard in august. On a 10 deg. Morning in November not many will be able to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

My daughter is 14 and catch pull minimal legal weight. I went so far as to pay a professional instructor to see if there was something in the way she was drawing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Who puts a car in the garage? Where do the boats, motorcycles, snowmobile, atv’s and lawnmower go? I have a 52x28 garage and my car or truck have never been in it, then again it’s never been locked either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Proposed crossbow legislation for 2022
Buckmaster7600 replied to nyslowhand's topic in CrossBow Hunting
Exactly, if a crossbow is a crossbow than a crossbow is a crossbow. They should make a law with any rifle having over 2500fps at 100yds and any rifle with a barrel length over 20” illegal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
The baby formula shortage makes perfect sense. The left thinks they’re losing abortion, starvation is the next obvious way to kill baby’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Proposed crossbow legislation for 2022

The restrictions are idiotic, my excal only shoots 380fps yet is over the 200lb draw weight and is “illegal” in NY. If you don’t see the stupidity in the restrictions than I don’t know what to tell you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

I don’t use them in New York. Actually neither have been in the woods, just fun toys. A crossbow is a crossbow, if you think using a crossbow that’s over the arbitrary number for draw weight that some idiot in Albany came up with makes someone a poacher than you and I have completely different definitions of a poacher. My Excalibur draw is over that number yet many “legal” Xbows shoot much faster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

Technology and traditions change. How many of our parents made us drive a manual car or shoot with irons sights? When I was learning to hunt with my dad I did it in a tree stand on beside a tree. Not with an I pad in a blind. Things change, if it gets kids in the woods I don’t care what they use and I surely don’t care about if compound bows die. How is that any different? You know of one, I currently own 2 crossbows neither are NY legal both cost over 2,000$. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -
Scout, learn to use a predator call. I don’t bear hunt, if it was biting nice I don’t think I would shoot one if it were attacking me however I know some guys that usually have their tags filled in a couple days Of the early season. They all scout and use predator calls. I’ve called a few in in the spring Turkey hunting. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

26lbs is a giant turkey! Congrats to the A team!!! I have lost count of how many gobblers I’ve killed and have weighed all but a few on an antique grain scale and have killed one that was a hair over 24 and many in the 19-20 range but 26 is an absolute once in a lifetime trophy in my experience!!
