I was actually in Daytona at the track on Wednesday, not a big fan but vacationing a few miles away and my son wanted to see it and some cars. I was watching the end of the race Sunday after getting home and it was a good finish. I have been way to fast in more than a few cars and lucky to be alive. I have gone over 160 at Charlotte Speedway in a race car. On my own on public road over 150 twice. Once in a Pontiac Firebird of my buds and once in my 79 Monte Carlo we dropped a 396 big block in with straight pipes and oversized everything in it. I've been on bikes, sleds and boats going a lot less that was a lot scarier!! I don't think I ever drove under the speed limit anywhere until I hit 40 lol. Now I don't even like fast roller coasters!!

Sardines are great! Especially like the Kipper Snack, a little smoked flavor.... I like in oil or mustard not a big fan of the tomato. I also have had and like pickled herring, anchovies and smoked oysters.. I am a cultured eater...lol

As the others have said sounds like you raised her right and have a great relationship with her. Just make sure she has a cellphone and knows to stay with the group or roommate...and I am sure she will communicate to you if you need to worry about anything. Both my kids, my son is 13 and my daughter just turned 16 have gone away to camps for a week or two since they were probably 10. Either sport, church or hobby related. They need to get out and experience life, just keep up good communication. I worry all the time, I guess most parents do.

Years ago I was with my cousin on one of his friends farm doing a drive. The friend shot a Sika deer jumped on the drive. All legal it was an escapee from a farm and the DEC does not want them loose in population. That was the best tasting venison I have ever eaten! Darker meat than a whitetail.

I'm grilling some chicken breasts tonight to go with wedge salads. The best part is we are in the middle of a big ole snowstorm. Supposed to have 2 feet by tomorrow evening. My grill is always shoveled out unlike the driveway!! lol

Up to 1.5 Billion now!! That is seriously crazy money now!! Even after NYS taxed the living shit out of it you would still have half a Billion!! I would never have to worry about losing hunting ground again!! I would be searching for a real nice property or two. The thousands of acre kind with own lake..... Then I would spend some time land management, forestry......... There would also be a lot of travel in my future.

Of course hunting, not sure it's a hobby lol. Passion/ lifestyle more like it! I love playing sand volleyball. Cooking with focus on barbecue, smoker homemade sausages and such. I like gardening and fruit trees and such but my thumb is at best mint green lol. Love fishing. I have a Tracker bass boat. Also like to stream fish for trout though I am not too good at it and have not done it in a couple years. I like all kinds of fishing. Need to kayak, camp, hike and canoe more! A few things I want to do in the future is to hike more and learn to identify more growing things as well as edibles. And aquaponics has been interesting me lately. I've been reading a lot on it lately. Another hobby I looking forward to is retirement lol but being I am still in my 40s and have 2 teenagers that burn money that may be a long while! I am currently running 3 Coverts and would not buy again. I noticed on all three they are missing pictures this year. Two are 3 year old cams that were not used pretty much first year since got for xmas. The first year in the woods I have no idea now if they were missing pics or not and this year I busted all three where I physically saw deer stand right in front of all three and later check cam and no pics. The 3rd was one that is a new replacement for one that stopped taking pics at night after one year and the company pretty much would not back up the product, got shipped a new one for a discounted price and paid extra to get the better model and they sent the old model and we gave up trying to deal with them and ate the loss.

Well for the last week I hunted pretty hard and ended up seeing not one deer! I think went like 24 days of gun season without seeing a deer. That would be my worst gun seasons ever. My brother did end up seeing 8 deer between afternoon watch Sunday and Monday morning and managed to scare the hell out of a lot of deer and take hair off a couple. Not good. My BIL and Nephew did not see a deer all gun season. I am very thankful for having a good bow season and sad to see deer season end but this gun season was a bear. Will need to reassess next years plan!! I enjoyed reading everyone's journals and Hope you all have a Great Holiday Season!!

I sat for a couple hours this morn till I was soaked. Originally had the day off put worked half not interested in soaking again! Out now for final watch rain stopped and warm 50 Sitting in ground blind my son and I put up months ago. I have not sat here all year so maybe some last minute luck.
