I am just sitting here with my tummy rumbling thinking I didn't bring any TP....with my stomach that should be the first thing in my pack. Only sitting until 10....hoping I can "gut" it out....otherwise I will be losing a pair of socks

So is this person only a semi scumbag?? I had a cablelock on my trail camera that I made. I guess it doesn't matter...figured it would keep honest people honest. Went to pull my card today and the lock and cable were gone....They broke the plastic right off the camera to open it. Now I knew someone could do this but I figured if they did they would steel the camera. So I just check the pics and they were all deleted. Someone must have been trespassing and got caught and decided they would only be a semi scumbag....and not steal the whole camera. I guess I am happy about that but still mad they broke it....

So this has been the best year ever for me. I got my first Bow kill 10/17...a big fat doe....Last Saturday I got my first and biggest buck ever with the bow....a 5pt and today I beat that by a lot. I got in my stand at 6am and waited for the woods to wake up. It was a perfect morning. Cold, no wind, sun coming up...Just the kind of day I am usually at work for.....At about 7:45 I hear a noise behind me and look over my shoulder and I see a buck. Its about 30 yds behind me moving from behind my left shoulder to behind my right shoulder. I inch myself around in the stand and get my scope on him. I can see he is a 4 pt. I am trying to decide what to do when I hear a noise back in front of me. I turn my head and a doe is coming down in front of me. I go back to paying attention to the buck. I have him dead to rights a number of times and decide he gets a pass from me. I know a lot of you do this but this was a big deal to me. If it wasn't for my 5pt last week this would be my biggest deer. I never figured I would be in position to pass on a buck but I did....Fast forward to 4pm....I am thinking to myself....why don't I ever see deer in the evening. I have been hunting for years and 95% of the deer I have seen were before 9am. I am thinking back to the 4pt and how people always say don't pass a deer on the first day you would shoot on the last day. I catch movement out in front of me...its a deer...I check my phone and it's 4:10....I think if they are going to come in it better happen quick. I get my scope up and find the deer. Its a doe and she is coming right to me. I catch movement behind her and move the crosshairs....Please please be a buck...I catch a glimpse of Antlers and I can tell it is wide. The doe is moving right in....and I mean almost at the bottom of my stand. I am trying to keep myself composed because I know if I blow it with her right there he is gone to. He is moving in but more off to my right side...He is behind some trees and he stick his head and neck out....and I am like...wow they do exist.....I have my cross hairs right on his neck and I am thinking do I take this shot. I am proud of myself. I walked myself through the steps....breath...squeeze the trigger...don't pull the gun...pow..right in the neck...He drops right there....I look down at the doe expecting her to bolt. She doesn't budge....I couldn't believe it...she went right along like nothing at all happened. I want to go see my deer but I don't want to blow this deer out of there. So I wait and wait while she feeds off. I finally climb down when she is about 35-40yds away and she could care or less. I walk over to him and I was so happy I had tears in my eyes. I was really starting to think that deer with 6 or more points were mythical creatures....Thanks for reading!!!!

Passed on a good sized 4....couldn't tell if it had brow tines or he would have got it....hope I am rewarded for waiting

So sorry about your dog...I know how hard that can be......

I hunted Gun only for almost 25 years....I had no idea what I was missing.....I am going to miss bow season but I can't say I am not looking forward till tomorrow. All the guys will be at the lease that I haven't seen since last year and someone almost always gets a nice deer...Hopefully this year it will be me.....!!!

I hope you all get it done today. I am at work with my mind on tomorrow morning.....Not ready for Bow to be over but just excited to be back in the woods in the am.....

I learned that you can actually harvest a deer with a bow. I got both my first doe and first buck with the bow this season......Can't wait till next year!!!

I wish I was in the woods but nope, sitting at my desk. All you guys are complaining about the wind....There isn't a breath of wind out here....My desk is located in 5R. I got my buck last Saturday in the most miserable day I could imagine....Blowing winds, Rain, Snow and Sleet.....Didn't think I was going to see a thing.

I have tried blind calling for years. It has never worked for me. Last Sat morning I hit the grunt tube a few times then the rattle bag. Less than a minute later I had a 5 pt behind me. He got a arrow through him...I honestly have no idea if I called him in or if he just showed up because I never saw the deer until he was 10 yds away..

Hows the pup doing? I like dogs better than people so I always feel for a guy/gal having trouble with their dog.....

I will gladly pay your bill if you pay mine...I just learned this morning that my roof can't be repaired and I need a new one.....Yesterday had service guys over because I didn't have any hot water....I thought that was going to be my holiday bill....Nope wasn't big enough....

One of my stands is a couple hundred yards off the railroad tracks. I figured the deer are more than used to the train that goes by a couple of times a day but I used to always get mad when I could hear the 4 wheelers ripping around and the guys hooting and yelling. Not really so much at them, just that I figured I wasn't going to see a thing. Well I had 5 doe all feeding around me earlier this season and I could hear the 4 wheelers coming. One of them extremely loud. They didn't even look up from the feeding they were doing. Seeing that made me feel really good about my chances when I hear them. They must get used to them just like they do the train...

Thanks for all the positive responses....The guys said it is big 6 or bigger now on the lease for me.....Now if only I can just see one......

I don't care, when I read them I was like really. I literally have a police officer with me and you are going to bust my balls....I am not a rule breaker! What is said on the internet doesn't bother me...its all good...

That is the exit....entrance was a little farther back (maybe two inches) and higher on the deer...right at mid section.....It did not hit the heart....I didn't check the lungs....This deer literally went about 3 miles with that shot......My buddies said 5 miles....that is an exaggeration but I would say an honest 2.5-3 miles....I don't know what was wrong with the shot. When I hit him I figured he was going a few hundred yards at the most......

The hit was a little low....I have pics of the hit on my phone, I will try to post one later but I was having a terrible time posting from phone. I honestly don't see why a county police officer can't grant permission to someone in their county but I honestly have no idea. He assured me it would be fine and I chose to listen to him right or wrong....I would not have done it if he was not there......I would have found another way....
