Hey - not trying to highjack this thread, but can you fish for muskies from shore? I am a trout fisherman and a friend broke one of my rods and gave me a heavy freshwater rod as a replacement...didn't even need to. but would love to try muskies in binghampton area, would love to see the look on my sons face reeling in one of those . A friend of mine lets me use his place off of the deposit exit. thanks in advance for any help, greatly appreciated. Bruce

I don't know why i wanted to try the rubber other than it was available. at the home depot near me the rubber ring and the wax ring cost about the same. Just giving it a try. Gonna put it in tonight when i get home from work. Thanks

this is great.. i guess i should have been more clear. i did mean the rubber ring under the toilet. i'm just gonna try the rubber ring instead of wax and asking if anyone ever tried it. LOL

i don't know what this response means... johnny ring is under toilet between it and the flange to sewer main.
