i too will be eating tag soup unless next week changes thingsfor me. I have been hunting only in rockland county - no firearms - and have seen deer just not any good shots but one. had one 11 yds broadside and hit her right in the shoulder. made a real loud whack and she just got up and ran away. hopefully get a few days in 4O next week. Good Luck!!
MY Nana - who was my fathers mother, who passed about 17 yrs ago when she was 96, always said "shoot the ones with the spots". Her teeth handled those ones much better.
i bought these three 1 and 3/16" 110 gr broadheads that require "deep six" inserts by accident. anyone use these inserts interested in them. they were 34.99 at a shop by albany and would be willing to trade for broadheads that use regular inserts or sell for 20.00 including shipping. thanks
If we are coming clean in this thread I have missed twice this year also. The first one on opening day i have no reason for, and the second this past Tuesday i hit a branch due to being impatient waiting for the deer to come into a clear spot.
i've put up stands within a couple of weeks of openin - sweating my arse off - and by the time i get back to the house and out on the deck with a beer, there are deer walkihng thruogh right where i just was with the side by side and a two stroke limb trimmer.
Hi - I would like to find someone with some patience to guide myself and my 12 yr old son for some rabbits this winter. We have never rabbit hunted and both would like to give it a try. My boy is very responsible with a firearm and a way better shot than me. specifically the week between christmas and new year. Thanks for any help.
