  1. Just use solid colors and forget about it
  2. I can’t see paying anything to hunt mule deer in the lower 48 when you can do it for free. Apply fora hand full of good limited entry tags every year and some point draw and go hunt. First cut your teeth on couple easy to draw tag so you make the most of a good tag when you get it. The only mule deer hunts worth paying for are in Alberta
  3. Excellent, thanks for taking the time to post this
  4. I will probably keep holding my points till G makes a bit of a come back. It was fantastic when hunted it however it’s been a rough 10 years. Wyoming for mule deer in general doesn’t excite right now compared to few other states.
  5. Based on the amount I have on my cams it seems to be about par for the corse for my places …seeing plenty of them
  6. What kind of ranking do members get that when they are their third membership under different names and spam the board daily? Is there a special badge for that ?
  7. I would buy anything but a chamber sealer at this point.
  8. Excellent flavor, and the fat is super palatable, however for the most part the meat is chewy as would be expected considering where they live and walk daily. Braised, stewed or ground …fantastic
  9. Finally made it home , all the luggage intact …have to cut up a wrap a goat today a probably make a trip to the taxidermist. I am seriously thinking about a move to BC in the near future. The place is unreal, every time I go though it I can see myself living there. I don’t think there is place that can compare with the OTC tags a resident can get, never mind the draws for residents. Alaska comes close …but not really. I have my wife looking at real estate and maybe a trip out to just look at different areas to buy.
  10. I wouldn’t take it for free. Pretty disgusting what some people will justify.
  11. We either clean our own house or we will have anti and non-hunters cleaning it for us and they see that crap as hunting. Go to a SCI convention and look at the freak show that is pen killing industry and see how it’s mixed in with hunting . If we don’t insist there is very definitive distinction then why when the time comes will anyone listen to that argument and agree with us.
  12. Yea I don’t have good tag this year when I struck out in KS. I am never overly enthusiastic about NY but deer are deer. If my wife doesn’t divorce me I might sneak down to western KY the end of oct and hunt my buddies farm. My cell cams at home been busy but honestly I haven’t seen anything better then about 125 ish. Got a half pic of decent buck but other then seeing 5 on one side I can’t tell what else he has going one. I am pulling cards this weekend from the rest of my spots so hopefully there is something exciting.
  13. Getting though customs was fun. I had to show and tell my hunting story to no less than 4 guys and women! They all loved the pictures and seemed genuinely excited. Going to be a long travel day but hey…it all down hill
  14. It affects all hunters negatively. First of all if you are lacking examples of the ill effects of domesticated wildlife has has had negative affect a wildlife then you have had your head in the sand. We are dealing with this almost country wild with whitetail for example. Secondly the negative perception( and rightly so) that come from these killing pens for so called “hunters” to feed their laziness is stain on every hunter and hinders our effects to persevere, protect and promote hunting and the North American model for wildlife conservation.
  15. If you can get uncured pork belly your golden, way better then pork but for making venison sausage. Pork but is great for sausage however you have mix a high ratio in with venison or it will be dry… in that case you might as well just make pork sausage.
  16. Yea the wind is wicked sometime coming in. Hopefully it’s smooth flight out. With the late boarder opening I was backed against a wall for flights. Had to take what I could get. My outfitter was excellent getting me here and loaded into the hotel and back to the airport for a Covid test. Thankfully I have the results in hand and hopefully customs goes smooth enough . Glad that is taking place here so I can get it over with
  17. Deer farming shouldn’t even be a thing, do away with it along with any other high fence farm animal bull shit shoots.
  18. Phade is good dude to buy cams from, can’t go wrong with his input and the nice thing is that he is there for you post sale.
  19. I am pretty much ready I think. Bummed out a bit that I didn’t draw a KS tag this year though, as I look forward to a couple weeks there every year. Bow shooting is going fine as I shoot all year round, pretty much three shots a day maybe four days a week, that keeps me in check. I may skip week now and then but not often. Not excited about any bucks I seen so far in NY with the best being about a 125 inch 9 pointer…but who knows, I will still enjoy being out there.
