I’m on another gun forum and recently there was a scammer on there as well. He would always say that he had a friend who was selling what you were looking for.

Honestly, it sounds like you’re the one freaking out.

Triads 300 spine For Sale
NonTypical replied to NonTypical's topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
Ok. Let me know. -
Maybe. But there are many ways to check an address and a name. The easiest that I could think of would be my OnX app or by doing an online search.
-
A good move before sending money to someone is to ask for a pic of their drivers license. If they’re legit, they should have no problem with that.

Triads 300 spine For Sale
NonTypical replied to NonTypical's topic in Hunting Items For Sale and Trade
I’ve done all of my own work. You’re right, he couldn’t be bothered. -
I have 5 Triads in 300 spine that are cut to 28 3/4” finished length with the inserts installed from the end of the outsert to the inside of the nock. The inserts/outserts are not glued in yet, so they can be cut down further if need be. These are fletched from the factory. Both ends of the arrows also have been squared up using the Lumenok jig. I also have 3 nocturnals that I’ll include with the arrows. $120 shipped. After doing some very extensive testing last year and finding an awesome combination for my bow, I decided to give these a try this year. However the combination from last year was really hard to beat, so I have decided to sell these.

I thought I’d try something new this year and ordered some Carbon Express Triads 300’s. They come with a 97g insert/outsert and with a 100g point, I’m at 543g and 14% FOC. I only put one together so far, but boy does it fly sweet! I have to put a new sight on and get a new target before I do any more testing. The Triad just blows right through both of mine.

New York State Hunters Facing a Lead Ammo Ban
NonTypical replied to Grouse's topic in General Hunting
If you reload, or can find someone to do it for you, you could use these projectiles for your 300 Savage. Solid copper and an improved design over the Barnes bullets. https://www.cavitybackbullets.com/category-s/117.htm -
They will ship to an FFL. My FFL charges $10 to receive ammo. It’s really not that much if you’re going to be buying in bulk.

FS: 6.8 SPC SSA 110gr Barnes TSX

Sold. -
Here’s some great V-MAX carnage on little critters.
-
-
In memory of John McAfee who got suicided in a Spain prison not long after the US got an extradition agreement with Spain. A little long but funny as hell.
-
Those VMAX are pretty devastating, especially on the smaller critters. Since there’s a few 6.8 owners in this thread, I thought I’d share some of the latest and best ammo to hit the market for us. Until now Cavity Back monolithic solid copper projectiles were only able to be used by reloaders. But just very recently they have started selling ammunition loaded by Druid Hill Armory with their 105g MKZ and 120g MKZ projectiles. These are in my mind the best bullets on the market and shoot sub MOA out of both of my 6.8’s.
-
I haven’t seen much if any all copper stuff, at least in the calibers that I use. I was able to get some custom loads, but only for 6.8. If you roll your own, there are copper projectiles available for most calibers.
-
You’re seeing the steel cased junk because most people aren’t buying it. The good stuff is available here and there, but it goes quick. I try not to buy on gunbroker unless it’s something I really need, but I do check it often as I think it’s a good barometer of the market. From what I see prices are coming down and it’s usually a little more than what I pay locally. But more often than not, I’m seeing good stuff on there selling for less than what the junk steel cased ammo is selling for on some online sites.

Even if an oak gets defoliated, there’s a good chance it’ll push more leaves out later this summer. I’m not sure how it’ll affect acorns this year, but the consensus is that next year acorn production will be way down.

New York State Hunters Facing a Lead Ammo Ban
NonTypical replied to Grouse's topic in General Hunting
I have some GMX as well as Barnes solid copper in 6.8SPC that I no longer need and are for sale. Just sayin... -
I’ve been paying .40 per for 9mm locally. As far as hunting Ammo, I bought everything that I could find last year as soon as things started becoming scarce. I’m good for the rest of my life now with about 2000 rounds of 6.8.
