  1. It seems like the online retailers haven’t lowered their prices much, if at all. Everything that I’ve seen being sold locally at the big retailers has been much cheaper than anything online.
  2. I’ve been hitting the one near me. Slowly adding to my 9mm stock. The last week or 2, it has been a bit more consistent. Still cheaper than anywhere else. Can’t say the same for the Federal 22LR that they had though. Been hitting Walmart for that.
  3. I recently came across these hard to find Silver State Armory 6.8 SPC ammo. They are loaded with 110 grain Barnes TSX monolithic solid copper bullets. They are a very lethal and accurate round, but I decided to go in a different direction and I had a friend come up with a custom reload for my Savage. I have 8 boxes for sale. $240 shipped. I would like to sell as a lot, but if you’re interested in less it will be $30 per box plus shipping. These are no longer made by SSA or Nosler who bought them out. Wilson combat sells a similar load for quite a bit more money when they’re in stock. I’m just looking to sell these for what I paid. Thanks for looking.
  4. Picked up 7 boxes of Blazers locally from 2 different stores today. First one was a 2 box limit. Second location I told him that it’s for my rifle. He said well then might as well take 5 boxes then as rifle Ammo is a 5 box limit! Lol
  5. I have been slowly picking away at $20 boxes of 50 for 9mm lately. I refuse to pay more than that. I call around daily and if I find some, it’s always a 2 box limit.
  6. First pic of fawns for me this morning. Twins.
  7. Pay a visit to both stores. You’ll be able to shoot a wider selection of bows so that you’ll be able to make the best decision on what feels right for you.
  8. Sawyers is your friend. You can’t go anywhere around here without picking up a few.
  9. I have some ammo that I’m willing to part with. I bought several different types to try and I no longer need these. 4 boxes of Hornady 6.8SPC 110gr VMAX. 80 rounds $120. shipped. 6 boxes of Hornady 6.8SPC 100gr GMX Custom. 120 rounds. $180 shipped.
  10. I bought an IQ Pro 00348 new off eBay recently for $60. The guy had a few hundred of them. That deal is no longer there, but here’s one for $99. https://www.ebay.com/itm/224268577988 The nice thing about these is they make a screw in light that lights up the pins internally by lighting up the fibers themselves, not the pins. https://www.ebay.com/itm/233850452905 I haven’t mounted mine yet, but my friend who also bought one loves it. I was searching for a long time for a single horizontal pin. There’s not many to choose from. Most are vertical. After doing some searching, it appears that they discontinued this one and no longer offer a single pin, but there are some still left out there.
  11. Another score today. Got the last 2 boxes. $20 a box
  12. Very informative chart. Thanks for posting. I particularly like these numbers for the 6.8SPC 6.8mm Rem. SPC (115 at 2625) 7.5 8.0 8.3
  13. Only certain ones. The ones that do, sell it very quickly.
  14. .36 per round today at Dicks. $110/300
  15. While the 7mm-08 is highly recommended, I’ll vote for the 6.8 spc. It has less recoil than the 7mm, and still plenty of punch. There are also many very effective rounds developed for hunting and it shoots great out of short barrels. It also seems like it’s the gun of choice for most hog hunters. The only drawback is finding one. Most people build them in an AR, or convert a bolt gun. But they have been in production before. In fact Remington made them in a model 700 for a few years.
  16. I believe the stock can be shortened 1” with the elimination of the spacers. I’m not sure if that’s enough.
  17. Did some more testing today. Top 3 hunting rounds out of 7 tested were SSA 110gr Barnes, Hornady 120gr SST, and 90gr Gold Dots loaded by Druid Hill Armory. Hopefully they shoot as good or better then the Barnes.
  18. Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes. I decided to make it a birthday weekend since the weather sucked yesterday and I had to work. Started it off with a range day with the new rifle. Couldn’t be happier as it was shooting sub moa @100 yards all morning! Looking forward to this evening with some adult beverages and a fire in the backyard!
  19. It’s going to fall on deaf ears Grouse. He’s already been brainwashed. You could show these libs cold hard facts on paper and they will never get it.
