I had a hard time paper tuning mine this year. I shoot a whisker biscuit. When I brought it to the shop, he made a slight change in the elevation of the rest even though you would of thought the rest needed to be moved right or left. In about 2 minutes he had it shooting bullet holes. I don’t recall which way it was tearing, or if he moved it up or down. He is a Bowtech dealer and shoots the Icon as well. I guess he had seen this before. The Icon is really a great bow for the money. Either way, good luck with your new Bowtech, whichever one you end up with!

Which Bowtech did you originally purchase?

I used to hunt an awesome spot many years ago with the bow. It was a bottleneck between some homes just off the road. The deer would cross right there. They would stage just inside the wood line before crossing. And if they crossed from the other side, they would run about 15-20 yards into the woods and stop to survey the situation. Needless to say I blew it on one of the biggest deer I’ve ever seen in the woods.

With a bow, I’m pretty sure it’s 150’ from a structure without permission.

Invest in a pop up blind. They’re cheap and portable. They work best when brushed in. You’ll be able to get away with a bit more if you’ll be staying on the ground.

I use the G5’s and I don’t resharpen them. One and done for me. The amount of time and money that I spend on hunting, I’ll spend another $15 on a new broadhead any day of the week. No reason to cheap out on the most important piece of equipment in my arsenal.

Got in for my first sit yesterday morning. Saw 4 does and a spike come through at about 15 yards. They all got a pass. Back in the same stand this morning with perfect conditions hopeful that the one I’m after comes by. on the way here this morning, I did see several bucks on their feet along the side of the road. Mostly in groups of 2-3. I guess the smaller ones are still grouped up. I’ve been getting pics of some older deer that have been on their own for some time now.

The biggest advantage that I’ve seen from cell cams are being able to see when deer are and aren’t moving in relation to moon, wind, and weather with zero human intrusion. In addition to my own cams, my friends also share their cell cams in areas that we don’t hunt. The knowledge gained about deer movement as a whole over a very large area is proving to be an invaluable asset for all of us.

Can’t make it out with work. Cams have been slow with the moon and warm temps anyway. I’ll be out Sunday for sure. Been getting pics of a good one. Always comes in on a NE wind. Gonna blow NE on Sunday. Btw, the lodge is looking sharp!

Why in the world are they sending out un solicited mail in ballots? If people can protest, then they can vote! There’s no reason for mail in ballots in the first place if they didn’t plan on cheating. Have a fair election where you show ID and vote once.

I’ve never had any WGI cams last for any period of time for me. I’d rather save my money for a quality cam. One of my older cams that’s been going strong for a few years now is approaching 20,000 pics with no issues.

I’d say right around Halloween would be their peak weight on average.

What arrows are you using? 350 spine? What about yours inserts and tip weight?

Been shooting a biscuit for almost 20 years. No complaints here. It’s never failed me with no moving parts. I even shot a Robin Hood tonight with the first 2 arrows I shot.
