good thread. i was about to buy a go pro to mount on my head for hunting. now ill stay clear. so what do you recommend for head mounts for hunting then? also I've seen youtube vids of go pro pheasant hunting and they look good to me. clear action, etc. some of you guys said it loses focus and sound after 20-30 yards.

Never did it. But ill pass along the info given to be by my buddys grandfather. He said he used to take a gallon bottle or something similar. Clorox bottle. Water jug. Etc. empty it and run a metal line thru it so the bittle would act like a giant bobber. Put a decent size hook on with chunk bait. He said he would use live sunfish. the metel line and hook would have to be strong enough so the snapper wont cut it. Toss it in the pond and come back tomorrow. You can see where the turtle is cause u just look for the bottle. Obv make sure the line is long enough that it stays floating and doesn't get pulled under. Then he said to let the turtle sit in clean water for a couple days so it cleans out the muddy taste. Change the water daily or more. Then butcher it.

I second the adirondack hunt as well. When my son gets old enough thats something i want to do with him. Backpack the dacks and hunt.

this is where the govt can really make a difference. companies who employ illegals should be hit with harsh penalties. fines. jail. there is a huge market for illegals. id venture to say by manual labor companies, who I'm sure have owners that vote to the right. the left loves illegals simply for a vote. but don't think the people who vote for the right don't have their part to do with it.

i bought rings where u can see thru the bottom and use the iron sights. i did this because i was walking in the woods a few years back and slipped on some ice. banged my scope good. and proceeded to whiff on a deer. just some added insurance if that ever happens again. like they said. bore sight, but make sure you put some rounds thru the gun before you take it in the woods. bore sighting will get you on paper at best.
