winter rye where to find it for sale
LET EM GROW replied to land 1's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Cereal Rye is high in Carbon, which take sit longer than other grains, to break down and decompose. Thus making it s long term slow release natural fertilizer. Germinates down to around 36 degrees, and will grow some after as well. Stays green longer into winter and is first green in Spring. Grows anywhere basically. And while actively growing, is a great nurse crop to a perennial blend. The high carbon content make sit a huge Win for the guys doing no till plantings. Add it into blends to plant for the following planting season.. ITs used as a terminating crop... and again takes a long while to break down and decompose as mentioned above -
Spraying Cleth in a clover plot
LET EM GROW replied to WNYBuckHunter's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
Never used it, but IMO it cant hurt used at anytime besides a drought. Spray then mow a couple weeks later? Or vice versa. -
Hornell lost power to 2500 residents. Power lines and trees down on south half of town.

I have 2 stands I stay out of until the bucks start seeking.. Then i hunt them hard, on the right conditions.. when I can. But I have learned to hunt more mid to late morning mid day sits when the rut is on.. The chance at better bucks increases. According to the trail cameras

Im beginning to have doubts about my other ancient giant.. HAs yet to show himself and he normally does by now. So You may be getting another story like this soon ..
-
The Pic I have of him deceased. Group of guys way out back got him. Definitely down hill from his years as a 4.5-7.5 yr old. He hardly has any tine length. I also forgot to mention that in March of 2016 I lost my father, my best friend, my hunting partner in a bad car accident, the week after he had passed.. he dropped his right side in my driveway at camp. Almost like it was a sign of some sort.

winter rye where to find it for sale
LET EM GROW replied to land 1's topic in Land Management, Food Plots and QDM
They have it for 11$ a 50# bag at country crossroads in Andover currently. Rye will stay green into the dead of winter.. and be the first to green up in spring along with most white clovers. If your into no till, it has a higher carbon content, meaning it wont break down as fast like oats or wheat will. Helping your organic matter and moisture -
Was hoping for graphic photos of some hershey squirts... but your vacation will do! lol Enjoy.. tell Dolly shes hot for me

No such thing as a cull buck. Culls are in managed fenced areas where control is possible.... Unless your WNYbowhunter.. his buck deer is most definitely a cull.. lol.

I could go more in depth on this, if you choose but i'd rather not on here.. Not trying to argue with you Biz, Just telling you how funny it is, to read one thing from the source, and hear another thing from the same source, And both be different informations.. There has been several cases in court for trying to penalize someone for feeding wildlife.. I know of 1 of them. And unless there was another offense thrown at them.. feeding wildlife lawsuits are all nearly thrown out. Now "Baiting" that is a whole different story. You know what, I have never heard an ECON say those words either... Until now... And in a large group of people.... Just saying. and never once did he mention it was legal, but he insisted to tell everyone, its not illegal... Again, Baiting and feeding are two different things...
-
Its funny how this is posted on their rules and regulations per seasons. But in person an ECON officer will tell you its only illegal during the hunting seasons. I had sat in two different classes/seminars this spring in 2 different counties, with 2 different officers, 1 a 20sum year vetran and the other a fairly new recruit.. and both officers said the exact same thing as one another.. Feeding is a ticketable offense if not used properly but both said its not illegal, only "Baiting" is.. Kind of weird huh?

good deal. Amazon and keystone have been solid places to order from and have it shipped.

People just need to know their starboard and port sides, always turn right when coming head on with a boat, a life jacket per person on board.. and to run your damn blower for a minute before starting an Inboard motor! lol

I believe I have mine located, But it sure isn't legible lol

I could be wrong here, since I did not read article, only read the comment provided with the link.. I took my NYS Boaters certificate when I was a teen.. Since you have to have one to legally operate a Wave Runner/Jet Ski, solo.

I'm not one for sharing pictures in large groups for obvious reasons, but I like this group and this dude is no longer on Earth.. Since the old boy was taken Last fall... Ill put up some pics, and a brief history with this guy... I call this buck The Ghost, Because He hated cameras! And was very seldomly seen by anyone unless after dark, you could catch him all around when the sun goes down.. If he found a camera after he turned 4.5, you would be lucky to ever get his picture from that exact spot ever again... guessing somewhere he had a bad experience with one.. I have all his pictures since 2010 when he was a 1.5yr old. I passed him as a 3.5yr old in 2012 because I had a giant buck that was very patternable.. Few years go by, still tons pf pics, I finally get my crack at him again, 2017.. I played the wind right, chose the stand that best fit the conditions for that part of season.. an hour before light he shows himself, rakes a tree, makes a scrape and hes headed to an open lane.. I range it.. dial my sight draw and release as i stop him in his tracks where I thought i had ranged.. Ranged 42 yards.. he was actually 34.. his course must have changed slightly. Hypodermic touched a couple hairs over his back.. and he slowly walked away not knowing what happened.. It must not have bugged him too much because he came right back to the same spot couple weeks later scoping out does like he had that night I missed my opportunity.... To end the story He was taken in 2018 during gun about a mile away as a 9.5yr old slob, biggest body deer I think Ive seen.... Pretty upset i missed my opportunity at 1 of the 2 bucks I had been chasing for so many years.. I was also, happy to see someone took him and let me know he was done with.. A new slammer can now grow in his beds hopefully.. maybe one with a little less knowledge and experience evading the hunters stomping around would be great.. Here's a few pics accumulated over the years.. The only year I'm missing him is 2013 as a 4.5yr old.. I only ran 1 camera for a month or so ... The split pictures are back to back years in order. I know alot of people don't believe it when they hear someone say they have an ancient whitetail they've been chasing for years... and for anyone whos second guessed me.. lol Heres the proof..
