First AR build in the making..
LET EM GROW replied to LET EM GROW's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
Finally put together my first AR . I Stuck with the Stock Polished trigger. Its smooth, and crisp. Ill upgrade down the road if necessary. Topped it with the leupold optic I had in the gun cabinet for now until the Night vision shows up. I can at least see what pills this gun like until then. Hope to shoot it in the next couple weeks, Been a busy summer I'm excited, Never cared to have one, but It just makes sense for chasing chesters IMO. I wanna put another one together now lol -
Thanks, Been many years since i last watched this. I need to find these movies on these apps some night. Relive the good ole days.

Think I can just apply the baking soda mix to the leaves and it will help rid it away?
-
I havent watered it once yet this year. Growing very well. couple plants have it on every leaf, some dont have it at all .. and the veggies are starting to grow now..

How does everyone get rid of powdery mildew? Some of my squash plants have it.. Growing big and green.. but some have the plant herpes on them lol.. Never had a powdery mildew before. In good rich black soil that is well drained.. Thanks in advance.

Big fan of both those.. hypos and g5 Montecs. They are my go to heads until they cause me frustration. Both very dependable! Taken many critters

Freaks of Four Seasons.
LET EM GROW replied to Four Season Whitetail's's topic in Hunting Related Pictures
I will say that I have a friend who has recently joined the hunting industry to film for an outdoor show, since his recent move to MO.. The man he works for has 600 acres fenced, also owns several hundred acres un fenced and also hunts Public.. He has told me numerous times that hunting the fenced deer are no joke.. It ain't like walking up on an animal with a bag of candy corn as everyone claims. He States they are very hard deer to hunt, and they have much better luck hunting outside the fence on other private properties.. All these properties are full of food, water and cover as needed. and setup for the hunter in mind. Just sayin people.. I used to judge things without knowing the background and the actual facts.. Not so much anymore.. Teach me so I can learn.. don't judge and point fingers when we are unaware of the facts in and around the topic.. whatever that be -
I own the sxds in 45. Love the gun.

picnic at or house saturday bring your friends and laborers cause i wont want to pick up when all is said and done lol -
I got one in late, and very half assed. But thanks to the black muck soil in the back. Its doing very well. Finally got a fence around my beans so whatever it was cant go to town on them anymore. MY sweet corn is about 40% germ. lol. Looks pretty hideous. I made a small furrow like a no till drill would plant and seeded them the same way but by hand.. Not sure why it didn't do so well. crappy seed is my guess. Didn't get to order the good seeds this year. Ill take pics if i ever remember lol. Just don't mind the weeds haha

My yard is swarmed with skeeters every night.. even during the day their out. There so bad they make you not want to go outside. -
There are quite a few cams out on the market that will take pictures and send them to your phone, or email.. however you'd like basically. It just requires a purchased data plan that In my experience comes through an app on your phone. . I have a spypoint link evo. Has worked well for me.

I definitely want to try a doe decoy, have wanted to for a few years. Just have a hard time spending the money on something so seldomly used. You could probably leave the decoy out and it wont bother them. So I have been chasing a giant old buck for a few years now, a few years ago I noticed the neighbor using a big boss buck decoy, he puts it up hunts over it, takes it down and brings it to the base of his tree stand and lays it on the ground.. every sit there, every day every weekend, that decoy laid there on its side when not in use. Halloween that year I finally had an encounter with this stud buck.. he slipped by just yards out of bow range and walked over the property line right to that decoy and right past it like it wasnt even laying there.. I firmly believe These old bucks use these scenarios as patterns to follow for their safety IMHO. They notice it still on the ground, they probably smelled the scent left on it and put the 2 dangers together and use to their advantage. So if it were me and you are chasing a mature local buck.. Id take it with you each and every time. These critters know the woods, its their living room to us.. Best of luck though.. keep us posted

People like that want what they want and will go to any means possible to get it.. Logical or not.. spoiled or privileged or just plain stupid and ignorant. this world doesn't need people like that wasting good air.. Hope the community stands behind that farm if the fit hits the shan!

MIG and TIG Pipe Welder wanted in Rochester, NY
LET EM GROW replied to Culvercreek hunt club's topic in NY Area Job Board
Get him into a skilled trade. Where I work, they pay 100% to send you to school for skilled trade and guarantee you top position when you finish your apprenticeship. College is not needed to make a good earning. MY 13yr old son by marriage just started working with a surveyor and he loves it..
