  1. Love this picture of him... He gained mass last year. Have seen him with my own eyes 4 times... Once at 30 with no reasonable shot. No cam pics yet this year, but I'm hoping he still roams!
  2. Hunted until 9:30a this morning before I headed into work. Was hoping the coldest morning of the year would lead to more movement, but it wasn't to be. One new rub popped up since I was last at this morning's set. Checked 3 Cams on the way out, finally have a couple respectable bucks showing themselves (night activity), will try again tomorrow AM.
  3. I have the same one Biz has and after 3 years, no issues.
  4. I had a friend at Oswego who made me watch all of his games because he was the pride of B’Ville!! Brought back memories of Oswego I thought I forgot haha
  5. Still pretty green in Glens Falls.
  6. Has anyone seen any in Albany County?
  7. I have a feeling with this cold snap, we are going to see a much more active week 4 (hopefully anyway). I'll start us off.... Week 4 (Oct 18-24) Hunter____Chris W I have an overall score of 00.00 thus far
  8. On the board! My daughter’s first time hunting from a tree thanks to a member here. Not the biggest but she made the call. She was shaking like the best of them, most fulfilling hunting experience of my life!
  9. Full disclosure, very limited hunting next week (11th-17th) for me. I will be out this Sat and Sun for my guy @Otto!
  10. As a relatively new bowhunter in his 4th year, I hunt a 60 acre piece. My experiences thus far. Year one and two (2018-2019), my setups were more or less gun setups and while I saw deer, they were within gun range rather than bow range...Nothing harvested in 2018. I was lucky to harvest a mature buck in early November 2019, but my hours on stand that first year and observations in 2019 told me I was still being way to cautious and not in the game as they say. Year three (2020), moved my setups a little closer to known travel routes to and from bedding/food and a couple into "rut" stands where does would travel when escaping a chasing buck. These stands were based upon the 2019 observations and 4 cams on the property over the last two years. Saw more up close and personal activity within bow range. Shot a 2.5 but had several encounters with 2 different mature bucks that I know are at least 4.5 based upon camera captures over the years on the property. On November 17, I was in a "rut" stand where deer had been observed in the 30-40 yard range all through the first part of November. This distance is out of my comfort zone and I told myself often that I needed to move 15-20 yards in. I didn't because of some laziness and I didn't want to "blow up" the area... Big mistake. One of the two target bucks that I have had a two year battle with (see pics) came through that morning and followed the same trail that was out of my comfort zone. It would have been a 15 yard BS shot had I just moved... I was so mad at myself that I moved it that very day. Obviously no opportunity presented itself again with that deer, but hard lesson learned. I will make moves to where the action is without hesitation this year, especially come the rut.
  11. Obviously, so many factors to think about with regards to shot placement, but I always like to study up now that the season is upon us.
  12. I think you are correct about the design. I have 3 kids and one of them is usually on with me so I didn't want to put anything on the back. A few guys i know have extended their out to hang over the front of the machine for more room and space. That doesn't interest me though as often am riding in crappy terrain and need all the rom i can get to maneuver.
  13. Second sit of the year in 4J. Hunted 6a-9a as i had to get to work. Was also dark late in my side of woods as well. Lone doe at 7a and quiet for the remainder. I want to tag an early doe this year and she was just outside of my comfort zone. Hopefully this week/weekend.

  15. The second pic was the first snow of the year. Was a majestic morning, just chose the wrong stand per the trail cam pics haha.
  16. Here’s mine, simple but allows me to carry multiple things, not just a saw. I tried to get a pick, but those are u-bolts. They don’t really get in the way of you place them right.
  17. I'll take a couple pics tonight, it may be what you are looking for. I have a double gun rack attached to it. Similar to Zag, but just a flat board I cut to fit my Rancher. I then bungee my saw or whatever i am using to the eye bolts I put in each corner.
  18. I am relatively new to archery as well and watching Nock On (John Dudley) was very helpful as a newbie with no in person instruction. He has many videos on Youtube for the beginning archer. I especially liked his weekly segments where he covered a specific area each week ie. stance, grip, draw, sight, etc.
