  1. WOW! Not sure how this thread got so far off topic. I think some of you to see Dr. Phil: https://www.drphil.com Or, maybe this would a better format: http://www.jerryspringertv.com Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to go clean a rifle or two to get the smell of Rem Oil in my nose, and hopefully let the smell of daisies pass! LOL!
  2. Most hunters think about hunting everyday. Actually, if one wanted too you could hunt every day of the year. But, most only think about deer season, turkey season, predators, and water fowl, and a close two are othe small game and bear. But, during the off seasons you can hunt red squirrel, frogs, woodchucks, and even bowhunt for certain species of fish. Not a day goes by I don't think about hunting. When ever we travel I am always looking into the woods to see what I can see. I had to stop my thinking when I am driving though, in the year and a half living in the country I have had many a close call while I was busy looking at game in fields or in the woods then focusing on driving. We have some damn narrow raods out this way if you venture onto them, and not all of them are "less travelled".
  3. I wanted to go, but we are in the middle of planning a wedding, so I was vetoed on this one. Sorry Rebel. Hope it's a great night. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  4. 3 pans of golumpki. Only 2 in pic as #3 didn't last long. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  5. Unearthed from the Long Trail Brewing Company. Stout at 7.9 ABV. Not bad, LT has better beers out there. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  6. OK, I'm over this right now, trying too look at the hunting section. Have a great night Biz.
  7. There's only one stat that really counts at the end of a game. Who won and who lost. Brady lost and was out gunned by a 2nd string QB. NE defense didn't play bad! Just got out classed. Sorry if your man-crush with Brady took a hit today. He lost, there's always next season!
  8. I didn't think this game would turn into a "shoot-out". Figured the cheating Pats would get off to a run and keep it going. The Eagles winning was the cake, the icing is the "Mighty Tom Brady" lost to a 2nd string QB in that "shoot-out".
  9. There you have it. EAGLES WIN!! Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  10. Hoping... Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  11. I used halftime to scarf some ribs, pulled buffalo chicken nachos with fresh jalapeno, and beer. Been an OK game so far, let's hope it stays clean. No "spygate" or "deflategate". Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  12. Anyone but the clown on screen now. Perhaps call Janet for another wardrobe "malfunction"? [emoji111][emoji16] Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk

  17. I think it's about money and ratings for the most part. As some have said. That said.......... I also think it's about tradition, Friday nights are High School Football, Saturdays are College Football, and Sundays are NFL. All of the College "Bowl" games are played on Saturday. So why not have the Pro-Bowl and Super Bowl on Sunday? It's a separation.
  18. I have been reading this one, I am very curious if anyone has the full list of what's legal and what's not for auto loading firearms. The "grey" areas in this one are flat out ridiculous! The "BS Act" isn't just AR style rifles, it covers auto loading rifles, shotguns, and pistols. At one point there was an issue that the Thordsen were non compliant, I guess that has been retracted? They lifted the mag capacity to allow a 10 round mag, but apparently you can only load it with 7 rounds. As mentioned, what are your plans for using the rifle? IF I ever get to buy the bigger version of my M&P 15 22LR, it will be another M&P but in .308. Would love an Armalite, but will never afford it. Building your own is the best way to go if you have the skill set and tools! Fully "pin" the mag and you can have all the bells and whistles. Not sure why you would need a bayonet, but have at it!
  19. Look, you're the one blaming the NFL for drugs and gun violence. You keep stating it over and over again, that's a fact! I dare you to try and say I am wrong on that one! Just look at your posts! Have you served? I hate the $h!t stains taking a knee. Just as much as I hate all the Hollywood crap on other notes regarding politics and this country! But, I am not going to stop watching T.V., movies, or football just because a few idiots pull crap I don't agree with. I, like millions of other Americans, still like watching American Football. I like watching T.V. and movies. I really don't give a flying screw through a rolling dough-nut what you think about me or anyone else who likes watching football! You joined in October, yet you don't have a single post about you actually being in the woods hunting! Not one! This isn't a political site, it's a hunting site and outdoors site! So go hunt some small game or predators and hop off the soap box!
  20. You can't be serious! Really? So, the NFL is the sole reason for illegal drugs, and the sole reason for gun violence? I am not sure if you were dropped on your head a few times as a baby, ate lead paint as a kid, or are the outcome of a prized mule who accidentally got bred with a basic farm ass. Haters have to hate, if you don't like the NFL don't watch it, I don't agree with some of the issues going on over there, either. But, I have realized, the more you talk about it, the more publicity those "kneelers" get. Maybe you don't realize that. Leave those of us who still watch football alone!
  21. You guys and those fruit flavored beers..... Tonight's beers. Drank the New Castle a couple hours ago with leftover homade enchiladas, and just popped the top on the Sierra Nevada. Sent from my SM-S327VL using Tapatalk
  22. On your first post, you posted pics you already posted from 1-14-18. https://huntingny.com/forums/topic/41730-ok-on-my-walk-i-found-what-is-it/?tab=comments#comment-637954 The first pic is dead bark falling off a dead tree. Not a rub. Still not sure the second pic is a rub, but it's possible. Your second post on this thread has me intrigued. That pic is recent? Bucks are still making scrapes and rubbing? Isn't this the time when they are dropping their antlers or have dropped them?
  23. I was going to do mini golumkies, smoke a couple racks of baby back ribs, chips and dips. Due to the weather, everyone bailed. I am not going to try running the smoker in snow and rain anyway. So I am still doing the ribs, most likely just one rack, but, in the oven, and making pulled buffalo chicken in the crock pot. Still chips and dip, and maybe a tater salad to go with the more or less BBQ theme of pulled chicken and ribs. Beer of course. Go EAGLES!
