Seeing this is already divided, and most folks are pretty firm on not leaving their region, why not start some threads in the "Camping And Hiking" section for the separate regions? Some great folks on this site I would like to meet and maybe learn something from, but, I too am of the ilk who won't travel 4-6 hours.

I was thinking of Thatcher as well. The best time is after the leaves start to change, hard to beat that view anywhere in the state. IMO. Hard to beat that place for a day trip anytime of year though.

Fired up the deep fryer tonight ( man I's glad I bought that thing, wings are better then ever now ). Was in the mood for fried chicken, so that's what I made. Not pictured is homemade mac salad, white rice, and french cut green beans.

Ya gotta stop using Franks! It's not hot! It's OK as a base for mild Buffalo wings, that's about it. At minimum for heat, use Texas Pete's Extra Hot. Or, some good old fashioned Tabasco. I have to admit, the roast beef hash made me hungry. Did you make it?

It wasn't just Clinton's, it was also Obama's. Obama had a list of countries he was planning on stopping from entering the US as well. They just never actually made good on the whole thing. That's what is so frustrating, Trumps EXO wasn't new, it was left on a table by past POTUS, and he just sighed it and made it happen. It fit with his policies, so he ran with it, as promised. The USA is in an uproar because our current POTUS is doing what he said he would do.

I have no clue if this will work in a smoker, used to do it over coals while camping, and it based on jalapeño's. But might be an easy conversion. Shredded bacon and blue cheese filling. A few others I have made using with various peppers, but again, over coals and not in a smoker: Finely diced tomato, pepper jack, and some burger. This one is for those who really like heat, shredded bacon, mozzarella, and finely diced cayenne peppers. You can pretty much stuff any hot pepper the same you would make stuffed peppers at home for dinner. Just get creative and try different things.

The area we saw the birds was as I said, the Jessup Wild Forest area and West Canada Lake Forest area. Awesome country! If we can afford it, I sure as hell won't pass it up! I will never get to hunt out of state, so this type of DIY hunt is just fine with me.

On the way home we saw at least 50 birds, hens with poults. I think I sad this in a different thread. They just sauntered across the road, not a care in the world. Some moron pulled past us i a hurry and and withing 2 miles they were at a dead stop waiting for different flock to cross the same road. They are up there, but, no way for me to scout everyday on land that's almost 3 hours away. It will be a new hunt, and in new land, so no matter what I will enjoy it.
