  1. Thanks TF. I didn't want to be the one to ask.
  2. We took a trip up to Camp Driftwood on Indian Lake last Spring. On the way home we saw a ton of wild turkey traveling South on RT30, around the Lewey Lake area. We are toying with the idea of me getting a Spring turkey hunting trip up there. Depends on how much it costs to remodel our bathroom. The actual name of the land is Jessup River Wild Forest. Have any of you hunted the area for turkey? I am not asking for your honey hole, and I am not asking for specific areas of the land. Just curios if it's super thick in there. Aerial views from the web and even a topo won't tell me that. Any replies would be appreciated.
  3. I remember that European League NFL. American football played in the Spring. I watched it for a couple years rooting for the NY/NJ Knights ( only lasted 2 seasons...Needed more NY players and less NJ players ), and the Barcelona Dragons. It got all screwy for a few years and I stopped watching. I think it finally got a fork in it and was done around 2006 (?).
  4. Skirt steaks, julienne potatoes, and corn. I was hungry and forgot to take a pic.
  5. I always make sure when I leave the house I have pants on, or at least sweat pants over my long johns. I think that's more of a "thing to make sure of" then a superstition. I never walk into a wood from the south on any third Tuesday of the week.
  6. I am not sure I have ever had "The Gun" or a specific 'go to' gun. I will say that these days I find myself taking the .22LR out more then the 12ga for squirrel. Never cared for carrying a .22 for small game in the past, must be the model of the rifle that I like more then others I have owned. For deer, I took the Savage Axis .25-06 when ever the fiancee wasn't hunting with me over my 7mm-08. Now, If I could get back any of the guns I have had to sell, after some careful thought, I decided on just two. My first shotgun, a Sears & Robuck 20ga single shot bought for me as a Christmas present when I was 14. Traded it for a Mossy 500 12ga when I was 15, I was a dumb kid, I thought the 12ga pump would be better for turkey. The second would be a Smith & Wesson 1000 AL in 20ga. Picked it up used around 1989 ( not sure, but I think they sopped making it in 1985 (?), and sold the paten to Mossberg (?) ) for $259 with a scope and a deer barrel along with the field barrel. Wasn't the best shooting shotgun I have owned, but I just want it back LOL
  7. It was left here from our New Years Eve party. Not a fan, but wanted something with alcohol in it, and was that or that crappy Rockdale Light. LOL
  8. It depends on the state/public land and the season. The private land I hunt has little pressure, mainly just myself and a trapper, so if I get bored I still hunt. Public land during the gun season I will still get up and walk around, but not as much as I used too. If I see a bunch of vehicles in one area I will move to the next. There are a couple areas within 45 minutes of me in 4B that don't really get hit that hard, mainly the people who live around the land who access via their back yard.
  9. After trying to deice the front porch and driveway three times today, decided to try another one of these while giving my skirt steaks some dry rub marinade. It really wouldn't be that bad if it didn't make my lips stick together after every sip.
  10. Was accused of deflating the footballs, not one but twice. Second time he got a whopping 4 week suspension for cheating. 4 week suspension for Brady, lousy $1M team fine, and two draft picks. Wow! That amounts to a $35 poacking fee. LOL
  11. At least one of those rings is tainted. Cheating's cheating. I guess if Brady was accused of poaching deer here in NY he would get a pass. Funny how cheating works in the minds of many. LOL Like I said, they are calling for a shootout. I hope the Falcons put the same whoopin' on the Pats they did on GB! Make "America Great Again", stop cheaters! Drain the NFL!
  12. Yep! Fictional pic to go along with with the BS people are causing. What protests? OH! You mean the riots you are supporting. Amazing someone who claims to be so intelligent doesn't know the difference. Which one were you from the news reels? Hard to tell since most of the little chicken $#@! cowards wear masks.
  13. Put your damn hat on straight and stop rooting for cheaters! Are you back from your vacation? Hope you had a blast! Now go on another. LOL!
  14. That's not fried bologna! You have to go to a deli and get a chunk to slice, or have them slice it at least 1/2" thick, you need some char on fried bologna! Limburger cheese goes good with it, but man that stuff stinks and most people can't even be in the same room with it. NICE! Just be careful posting pics of fancy beer glasses, it makes the natives restless. Just kidding about the beer glass, sort of.
  15. They are going to play up the Super Bowl as being to be a shoot out. I was hoping for Pitt., but knew the cheating Pats would win. Didn't even watch the game. No reason too. I just can't stand the Pats!! They shouldn't even have been eligible to play this season, cheating turd heads! Just goes to show, the more you cheat the more popular you become. I was going to make a political comment, but decided not too. Atlanta surprised me a bit with the score. Everything just went right for them. Which is fine with me as I really don't care for the Packers. Hoping Atlanta will get a .500 in SB visits, but, if I was a betting man, I would bet the Pats. Most likely won't even bother watching the SB. The adds and commercials don't do anything for me, and the half time show will be on You Tube 2 minutes after it airs.
  16. This might sound odd, and probably not in the huge dream hunt most of you would do...But, actually hunting and killing a Moose in NYS.
  17. We have leftovers. If you can be here before 11PM I will spice it up for you.
  18. Yes and no. Everyone needs to stop acting like babies with this election! EVERYONE! What did the Republican Party win? Promises we aren't sure will happen. What did the Democrats loose? NOTHING! Everyone is making this election a pipe dream of hopes and dreams, either solidified or failed. Trump sure seems serious, and his goals are good for this country. Boycott Kawasaki? I mean no offense, but who cares about Kawasaki! Lets boycott illegals and put more emphasis on vetting or blocking terrorists. At some point the hissy fits need to stop on both sides! So do the riots!
  19. Have company coming over tonight. Making a big pot of chili. Just starting to simmer here. Be ready about 6PM.
  20. Lets boycott everything that has outsourced CS! Lets see how far that gets us. I for one like having gas in my truck. Not 100% sure, but isn't most of the oil used to make gas bought from other countries? While we have rigs right here in the USA? If we are going to boycott, lets go big or stay home! I thought Kawie retracted the comment/statement? Sort of a moot argument then isn't it? Just sayin'.
  21. The down side to Uptowns recurring vomit are actually an issue. His/her support for killing LEO's, killing anyone who is Republican, and his/her stand on illegal aliens and terrorists entering country is actually getting to be a bit disturbing. Among his/her other "off-handed comments". He/she is sending the same message as the folks who need meds and therapy. Just stop replying to his/her threads and posts!
  22. You have no clue what a 'tramp stamp' is do you Biz? LOL. Lower back "bru". LOL. Sorry, ....Um...Ehem... Drinking a 24oz "Beast" Ice. Saved the humiliation of posting a pic.
  23. He had plenty of Americans to support him. He did WIN the election. What he doesn't have support from are the people who put this country in the crapper to begin with. I heard a rumor that the stock in Kleenex and Depends went up after his win due to so many Dems and die hard Liberals having uncontrollable crying fits and loss of bodily functions. Who cares if musicians and actors don't support him? The POTUS needs people to believe in what their policies will do to help make changes to make the USA better, reduce the deficit, and a ton of other issues. The POTUS doesn't need to be popular, they need need to get the job done. That's it!
  24. Congrats! Way to get it done in the late-late season.
