Trump's press conference
DirtTime replied to Core's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
So you really think a wall will stop the boats and planes from getting here? Boats can go around walls, and a plane can fly over a wall. They say a condom can prevent pregnancy, but, they have a disclaimer on every box. "No guarantees". -
Trump's press conference
DirtTime replied to Core's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Being serious, and actually thinking about how this will prevent anything, and the illusion that Mexico will pay for it boggles. Mexico will not pay for it, and it will not stop illegals from getting into the USA. Seriously people, think about this for a minute. Read my posts and you will see I am not anti Trump. But, this wall just isn't going to work. Why? It will just be along a specific border. The illegals, gun/drug runners, terrorists will find other ways to enter the USA. They will use boats, planes, and/or come in from the north. It certainly won't stop the problems already here! -
Glad no one was seriously injured! Walking away from that was a blessing. Good luck getting the legal issues worked out.

This is why I don't go to gun shops!
DirtTime replied to Buckmaster7600's topic in Guns and Rifles and Discussions
I am the same. The last time I was in an actual gun shop was when we were house hunting. Stopped in in the morning to get some .22LR ammo, looked at a few used rifles, and left, one caught both our eyes. That afternoon we stopped back in and I bought my Savage Axis .25-06. It was a good deal on a decent rifle that I just could not pass up. Looks like you picked a couple great additions to your collection Buckmaster. Congrats. -
Trump's press conference

Your replies are so different? Nothing you say is thought out. It's all poison from infectious media and people who wouldn't know a fact if it was called a tack and they were on the wrong end of a"Pin The Tail On The Donkey Game". If you your answers were so well thought out you would be able to explain in a rational manner why black people are screaming racism and doing the damage and inciting the violence. Or why people can't just except that fact that Trump is the the future POTUS and act like babies whining about it. The people who hate Trump are the people who want to collect welfare for their whole lives, illegal aliens here to sell drugs and guns, ............. I digress! Actually, you know the deal. You just chose to side with radicalism and promote violence. I don't care how old you claim to be, you deferentially do not support this county unless you have it your way. Let me explain something to you Uptown, this country isn't a restaurant! You can't have it your way! Your burger comes with pickles, deal with it! Buy a box of tissues, have a good cry, and get over yourself. Your views on policies and the issues are clear. Trump scares people because he's not going to cower to BS, he's not going to a be a puppet controlled by money hungry fools that really only care their bank account. -
Go out and shoot a few brands. No one can tell what bow will fit you and feel right, and certainly not a brand. You may find you prefer Elite, maybe Bow Tech, perhaps a Hoyt, or maybe even a Winchester.

Depends on the sauce. If I am stuck using some store brand due to time constraints I will add just a pinch more brown sugar, white vinegar, some sort of spice for a bite ( usually chili powder, crushed red pepper, or if I have it in the fridge a pepper extract, but never too much ), and a tea spoon of butter, and heat it all up in a sauce pan. It's really not that hard to make BBQ sauce from scratch. I like to make my own sauces, either from scratch or by blending things together. I can't remember the last time I used a store bought rub for cooking/grilling, always made from scratch for more then 20 years.

I can't find it either. Tried a few of the Dinosaur sauces, they had to be doctored up too.

Ah, but, you see young padawan, even when I use store bought sauce, I add my own flair.

Trump's press conference
DirtTime replied to Core's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
Again, you would be wrong! I say again, are white people inciting riots and killing cops? Are they beating people in the streets simply because of who they voted for? Your views are clear, and it's funny, I don't think there is anyone on this forum who actually agrees with them. The democrats and other parties are acting like spoiled little brats! Get over it, you lost this one. Lets look at the newest tantrum from the losers! Boycotting LL Bean. Why? They made contributions to Trump? They also made contributions to Obama. Double standards and playground bullying by cry babies. How many jobs did LL Bean just open in Maine for a line of boots? Seems they are doing something right. -
I have had peanut butter on burgers a couple times. I'm not a fan, but there are a ton of burger joints that have burgers with peanut butter and jelly on the menu, and they go over well. Scaled back my presentation just for Biz tonight. Mango habanero wings from BWW, country style pork ribs in the crock pot for 4 hours with Sweet baby Rays Sweet and Spicy, home made tater salad, and left over zucchini ( not shown ).

LOL. Nothing fancy about a slightly over cooked beef roast, and veggies.
-
Froze the bean soup for a later date. Made a beef roast, spaghetti squash, and zucchini. Over cooked the roast by about 20 minutes, ticked me off. Ran out of EVO for the squash and zucchini so had to run to the store. It was still good though.

There are no words to describe the stupidity of some people. This and other stories like it give new meaning to "You best be willing to pay the price for your actions!".

There are tons of recipes on the web for the spice mixture. One even has a recipe for the yogurt sauce. I will have to look up the link again. After some searching, there was another place that offered them. Theas. Also said they aren't open anymore. Was/Is in East Aurora???? The crispy comes from either a deep fryer or a ton of oil on the skin.

I did this last year. Doesn't seem like it made a difference. You can send all the emails, make phone calls, write actual letters, join a circus and jump through flaming hoops. It doesn't matter! If the anti hunting politicians say no, it's a no. Also, I really want to start focusing on a repeal to the Safe Act, I want a real grip on my M&P! Sorry, to me, that's more important these days.

OK. I have to ask. Why are berbere wings so popular? I never thought of Ethiopia as a big place for food. Much less a mecca for chicken wing recipes. What makes them so popular? The spice/heat? Sweetness? Is it like a Caribbean Jerk flavor?

Home made bean soup and a grilled habanero cheese sandwich.

Have you started your seed search?

LOL! Hmmmm.....Your name is Jay................. -
No beer? For shame! Tried this while I was putting the finishing touches on my bean soup ( almost ready ). New Castle Brown Ale. Can't remember trying this before, but I like it.

Only rooting for two teams left in the playoffs. The Hawks and the Chiefs. Hoping this will be the SB match up. I doubt it, most likely Dallas-NE. Rally the troops Biz! Lest see your team get it done! Another insufferable trip by NE is not acceptable! Anyone else's thoughts?

There are cases where a criminal sued and won, not hard to look that one up. Here's just one from the side winded media everyone here loves so much: http://lawnewz.com/crazy/convicted-burglar-sues-homeowner-who-shot-him/ Oh I'm not worried, this won't hinder my hunting at all. Was just something I thought about. At least it's some political crapola or just fat out depressing.

wood burning projects
DirtTime replied to 2012_taco's topic in DIY - Do It Yourself, tutorials and videos
Awesome! Great way to spend some down. Not to hijack, but in the beginning use a stencil. Get some pics of birds and w/e, trace them on some high grade tracing paper, preferably 100% rag, using a good water proof pencil or even better, a hectograph pen or pencil, and transfer to the wood. It will help build control over the iron by tracing a stencil. Looking forward to seeing more of your art. -
Not so sure about that anymore growie. Times are changing. That's exactly why I asked Paula. If someone tries to break into your home, falls and cuts themselves on the broken glass from the window they broke, they can sue and win. 100's or maybe even thousands of cases just like that. Seeing more and more people seem to be encountering anti-hunters on public land, and even private land, it just got me thinking some of the "what if's" .
