  1. I diced a couple boneless/skinless chicken breasts and marinated in soy sauce/fresh squeezed orange juice/fresh garlic/cumin/sea salt/cracked black pepper and thyme. Sautéed the chicken with a little more soy sauce, garlic powder, cracked black pepper, and hoisin, added some broccoli, and served over rice noodles.
  2. You missed the point on the single shot. My comment was, the hunters who feel the need to empty a gun at running deer would never use a crossbow because they would only get one shot. I do not think you will get the over zealots from the gun season in the bow season, even if they could use a crossbow. As for the second part......Not so sure about that, but, we all have opinions and an opinion is never right or wrong as it's just an opinion.
  3. I hate talking about the yote issue these days. I agree with wooly on killing a den of pups would just be cruel. Not every area is the same, what you see in your yard might not be the same in someone else's yard. This is the huge issue I have. You cannot tell people they are wrong about having an issue unless you know for a fact they don't. How does one determine Jonny Rock has no issue while Jerry Bean does? The DEC ( pfffffffffffffft!!!!!!!!! )? Have you been on Jonny's or Jerry's land?
  4. I wrote a few emails asking to allow full inclusion, I hunt with a compound and I gun hunt. I see no factual harm in it. I also don't think the gun hunters with no etiquette will bother. You only get one shot with a crossbow, just like a vert bow, then it's empty. The clowns who feel they need to empty the gun at running deer will not take up the crossbow, so this thought that full inclusion will muck up the bow season and bring out the unethical's is unfounded. It's rhetoric and hearsay. Here's some food for though. We have a few on here that only use a bow during the gun season. What if DEC made changes that you can't use any vert bow during the gun season? It's the regular season, and it's geared at the gun hunters! I bet that would put a real pucker in your backside.
  5. I have never used a mono ( or had ), unless you count mono filament fishing line. My current bino's are Bushnell compacts 8x21 with 378 at 1000 yds ( $50 at Dicks on sale ), and they aren't great in low light conditions, but not horrible either. They work well for me in bow season at closer ranges, yet I don't care much for them at longer ranges for the gun season ( not sure why, just me I guess ). Next season I plan to pick up two pair ( one for myself and one for the fiance ) of either 8x42 or 10x42 compacts for the gun season. I like the magnification better on a 10, and a little more light on the higher mm lens.
  6. Thank you wooly. As for a little black book, I never had one or more of those. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
  7. That's what I was thinking too.
  8. LOL. I will probably be making the cake, and I am not great at baking. Thanks again for the well wishes everyone.
  9. Meet Larry, get in boat, open fly, expose tube socks, commence fishing. Take pics of the the take.
  10. Happy Birthday wooly one! Hope you found a few sheds and Jenny was super nice to you today.
  11. It's football. Just razzin' ya dude. Guess you have to be a Bills fan to understand ball busting.
  12. I plan to try the pygmy method for 2017. Going to try fishing with my fly open. He and Law seem to hammer the fish that way ( no pun intended ). It's free and seems like it will work for all fish. Just sayin'. LOL
  13. Not over yet Biz. Last season the Chiefs choked as hard as the Bills did 4 times in a SB. Not over 'till it's over. Still think the Raiders have a solid chance. Make a call to Vegas and look the odds and point spreads being given. From there you can tell who will win.
  14. Took me a minute to find it, but I posted a couple pics in this thread of the Pale Ale and Torpedo with a couple good cigars camping last fall. Both were good combos sitting around the fire after a steak dinner, and a bone in chicken breast dinner. You and Jay were the only two that liked the post. LOL Go back and look at page 73.
  15. I have come to like most of the Sierra Nevada line up. Favs are the Pale Ale and Nooner ( this one grew on me ). Might have to look for that one for New Years Eve. Right now, just cracked open a can of "The Beast Ice". Nothing fancy right now, have a ring to pay for. LOL
  16. Wasn't the original version from the band Wham he was in? Don't remember and right now don't feel like looking it up. RIP George Michael.
  17. Thank you all. I was already told, "NO CAMO AT OUR WEDDING!!!!" .

  19. Ah, paranormal flicks aren't usually my thing, but let me know if it's any good and I may check it out.
  20. Have to ask, what movie?
  21. We all thought that at that age. Why would things be different now?
