Just out with the dog again, she's seriously anxious right now. Not even snow anymore, it's sleet. I could hear it bouncing off the hood on my coat. We had it good for a few years in the Capitol area, now we seem to be having a good old fashioned NYS winter. It might be late, but it's here.

You would pass up a hunt with TF? I swear, you have most definitely downed to many Corona's in your lifetime, or bumped your head on the side of your pool one to many times. Damn kids don't know a good thing when it's offered anymore! Oh, as for beer, no pics, bought two 24oz cans of Yuengling to make my beer batter. Used just a tad over one can and drank the rest of the second can with dinner.

Calling for another 1-3 in the Albany area tonight. Was just out with the dog and it started snowing lightly. Then we have another bigger front coming in for Sunday into Monday. Cannot wait to see what March brings.

I started cracking "inappropriate" jokes when I was around 13. Had a soap mouthwash more then a few times when my mom over heard me telling them. That was 32 years ago, and I still like to hear and tell raunchy jokes now and then. Pretty sure many on here remember the bars that were aimed solely at outdoors people, the jokes in those bars were usually not for the what we now call the "Politically Correct". What does age have to do with cracking a joke in public? Seriously, far more people do worse and more disgusting things in public then crack an ill liked joke. What I hate is when they take the last steak that was on sale, now that pi$$3$ me off!

The only one I have now ( I really want another in .308 ) is a .22LR, trying to load and unload it via breaking the upper is a royal PITA with those tiny bullets! Even if it was a larger caliber, I would still have opted for the spur grip and detachable mags. For me it was more about hunting with the rifle then defense. I wanted to be able to just drop out the mag if I went to my truck for a snack or lunch without breaking the upper and taking the bullets out. But, in a home defense situation, I don't want to have to fart around either. So I preferred not to pin the mag.

I can't buy ammo for any of my rifles at Wallyworld, they don't stock them, even the .22LR. I really dislike shopping at Dicks, why, I can't answer that, I just don't.. If I could buy my ammo online I could save a bunch of cash, I would also be able to get the Rio Bismuth shells my shotgun really likes a lot cheaper then in a shop ( if you can find them ). Its deeper then just the ammo issue though. It does NOTHING! It proves NOTHING! Except, irate a large amount of non anti-gun tax payers! For those of us who own 'scary black guns' it means no more bureaucracy about it, and for anyone who wants one it will make it easier then trying to figure out what upper and or lower are legal. This is me being selfish a bit, but boy I sure would love an actual grip on my M&P.

My issue is everything is about relying on a device these days, and not on self reliance. There's nothing wrong with using todays technology, but our youth are getting caught up in it. Especially outdoors people. "What happens if you get lost? Do you have a map and a compass?" , " |laugh| I have apps for that stuff!" , "What if the battery dies?" , 'Blank stare'.

They were calling for 2-6 for my area, we got the high end of that call. If I was still i my early 30's I would have found a place to ride some powder in the back country, perfect snow for snowboarding/skiing. Around 4:30PM, it just stopped and the sun came out 5 minutes later.
