    We are hunting only a short distance away. And same thing! All day sits with no deer seen! It does get frustrating! But no choice but to keep on grinding it out. To think last year I passed up so many deer, looking to shoot 1 of 2 bucks specifically. Right now I'd shoot just about anything! But gotta see em first! They're there! Just not moving at all!

    No dragging. Because I was in the woods dark to dark, and did not see a deer. Frustration is setting in. But I'll keep grinding it out. I'm off till Friday.

    I never used a trail camera up until 6 or 7 years ago. Phade sent my grandsons a couple old ones he had. We got some pictures on em, and we were hooked! Love all the different critters we get pictures of. Now cell cams are the big thing. Who even thought of getting real time pictures sent to your little handheld device 10 years ago? I feel like George Jetson sometimes. Lots of arguments over ethical questions and cell cams. I leave that discussion for the off season. Gotta check my phone for pictures!

    Was just out on the back deck sipping my coffee. Quiet and frosty out. Neighborhood is sleepy. I'm raring to go! God I love this time of year!

    Is it 3:30 or 4:30 am??? Clock says 3:30. I'm on deer time. They don't follow Daylight Savings Time! Up and at em, for another wonderful day in the November deer woods! Crossbow's turn today. Looking to get one hanging if I can! Best of luck to all heading out!!

    Afternoon hunt was a bust for me. No deer seen on the upper end of the property. Lower end was the place to be. Hunting partner saw nine with two decent bucks. His daughter, shot at and missed a young buck. Will be back out in the morning. Think I'm going back to where I saw that nice buck earlier in the day.

    Had 4 flathead come by this morning. Half hour later, a shooter buck. No shot as he never left the thick stuff. Came out for an hour or so, and headed up in the back till dark. Couple dandy bucks spotted up here yesterday. Coming out of the thick bedding to the left. Putting phone away. Will check back later. Good luck all!

    Up, showered, having coffee with a sausage biscuit. Looking to shoot a buck today. That's the plan! Both bow and CB are loaded in the truck. Bow gets first dibs. This is the day a bunch of deer get hung up!!! Good luck to all heading out! Keep safe. Shoot straight.

    My first crossbow was a Barnett Raptor. It was just ok. I bought a CP 370 from a member here three years ago, and love it!! You can't find a better crossbow for the money. I think once you measure tip to tip on yours, you will see it measures just a tic past 17 inches.

    Anytime you can be in the deer woods is a "good" time to be there! Over about 50 hunting seasons, and a whole bunch of deer, I'd say a very slight edge go's to morning hunts for me. But have killed them at all hours, including mid day. First and last three hours being the majority.

    John was my mentor in bloodtracking, and for Deersearch. Every hunter, regardless of experience, will learn something from this book! Being on a blood trail with John, was like a musician getting to sit in with Pink Floyd!!!

    Same thing here! I know the deer are still here, just don't seem to be following traditional travel patterns? Food preferences are the biggest difference, with a low crop of acorns this year locally. Got six days to hunt, starting tomorrow, and a plan to hunt set up's we haven't hunted in awhile. This is the best week of all to be in the deer woods. I plan to make something happen!!! Keep positive and grind it out!

    Seeing blood pumping, bubbles in it, and hearing crashing, usually will add up to smiles and high fives!!

    Very slim chance it will survive. Doesn't even have a winter coat.
