Yet tracking dogs, or coyote's very seldom do?

Full moon...........10 to 2 or mid day. New moon......... first and last two hours, or early and late in the day. Of course these are just generalisations. Hunt every hour you can be out there.

We have a similar looking 4 point on the property this year! If I get a chance at him, I think I'll take it! Never shot one like that before. And I think he's so cool looking!

I certainly would if I were out there! I'm stuck in the office too! But I'm off next week. Had a tough last three days, with little or no deer seen. But....the farm has been noted for this on again, off again stuff for the 55 years I've been hunting it! 750 acres available to us. With more than half of it so thick and nasty, you can't get in there! But the deer do! A state park safety zone on one side, and public land on the other. Adds up to the deer could be anywhere, at any given time! It's a blessing and a curse, but I love it....lol We always have some decent bucks here. And it's like a chess game trying to be in the right spot, at the right time! But a chess game that we usually win by the end of the season. And the challenge of it is what builds my love of this property more each year! I do have other properties to hunt. But a deer from the farm is always more special to my hunting partner and myself. If this was a place where we could consistently just go out, sit a few times, and score a wall hanger, I don't think we would love it as much??? IDK??? That all said.....we have some great bucks on the property this year!! I hope to meet up with one soon! And I know I'm truly blessed to have the hunting opportunities I have!! Can't wait to get back out!!!

Sat from dark to 3:30pm. Saw two yearling bucks around 8am. That's it!! Saw nothing yesterday! Checked cams. Nothing but a couple of doe and fawns. Not sure what is going on at the farm? No deer activity at all to speak of. Be back at em again this weekend. And off next week. Will give the lake property, and the Pine Bush a go too at some point. I'm sure at any time, the bucks at the farm will go nuts. I'm not sweating it. I'll get my chance soon. I know the deer are here! Just not moving much or very far apparently. I'll "endeavor to persevere" !!! Sorry crappyice, I gave it my best shot today, just came up short. I think by Saturday, things will be smoking hot on one of the hunting properties.

Had two little bucks cruise by so far? Anything with a rack will get an introduction to Mr Muzzy!

Up and at em this morning. Going to a ground blind that is higher on the same oak ridge where I saw no deer yesterday. Since they didn't show low, I'm going up high. SE facing slope with NNW wind will be perfect. They are on this ridge somewhere! Not feeling particularly selective today either. Deer activity has slowed down the last week or so. Sign is here though. Back to work tomorrow. Back out Saturday, and off all next week! Good luck to all heading out.

Heading out this morning, will be looking to give ya some points! And I'm not being real selective after yesterday.

I've been bow hunting every year since the early 80s. The last few years, I've had my share of medical issues too. And I say every year now, this will probably be my last year. Only because I find it painful and difficult to shoot my bow now days. But even on my worst day in the bow hunting woods, I'm thankful to be there. Even on a day like today, when I saw zero deer. On the drive home, I thanked God for just giving me the opportunity and time to be out there. It's not about what I kill anymore. It's about being an active participant, in something I truly love. I have always told myself, if I ever lose that love, I'm done. My body will give up before my love dies. That said, my flame for hunting does not burn near as brightly, as it did when I was younger and healthier. But it does still flicker. I pray the flame never goes out completely.

Sat from 7 to noon on the oak ridge, where I saw 5 bucks last week. Zero deer seen. Came out for an hour for a bite to eat. My hunting partner talked me into going up to the big swamp. Again, zero deer seen! Back at it again in the morning. Camera pic's have slowed dramatically over the last few days. And from what I saw today, from two of our best spots, deer activity has slowed dramatically too.

Week six. grampy picks moog. I've seen myself, what goes on out there this time of year! Go get em big buddy!!!

You definitely took one monster out of the Halloween festivities Larry! We are expecting lots of little goblins at the new place. Mrs grampy will hold them at bay till I get home. She's armed with two huge bags of candy! Happy Halloween to all! Hope all hunting today have their own monster encounter!

Been up since 4am. I'm having coffee and breakfast, then getting ready to head up to the farm. Raining still here. But will be in the ridge stand where I saw 5 bucks last weekend at first light. Same thing happened at our old place last year! Twice!!! Don't think we will have any bear visitors at the new place though. So the grill is safe.

Saw a bunch of deer while hunting last weekend. But since then, the well has gone bone dry? Partner is not seeing anything! And 8 cameras have shown only one doe on the property since Monday? What gives??? Total washout here tomorrow. May be able to get out mid day on Sunday after the rain ends? Have Monday off, so will be out all day then. Out of likes again! Congratulations to those who got it done today!!!

Both my Reveal Cam's have been a bit sketchy lately due to server issues. Again last night it happened. My hunting partner actually watched a buck go by one of the cam's, and I got no picture of it.
