  1. My buddy tried ordering the same rig I bought back in March, was told Tracker sold out of all 2021 models, he'd have to wait until June to place a 2022 order and should get it in August/September. Oh, and the price went up $3500 for the same boat I bought. I'm glad I got my order in in February! Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  2. Can be tough around this time because we start getting a big bug hatch in the lakes and surprisingly enough, walleyes will key in on those mud flats full of insects and gorge on them. Walleyes eating bugs sounds weird but they do. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  3. No I didn't but we used to camp at Buck pond every summer for 10 days. I've probably rowed around the pond 1,000 times fishing when I was younger. I've caught some nice largies and pike too. I still remember using an orange jointed floating rapala next to that culvert between buck pond and the lake side and hooking what was the biggest largemouth I had ever seen at the time and it pulled my jointed rapala in half. First place I'd really seen a glimpse of northern lights also... Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  4. I grew up fishing buck pond, love it up there. Sadly I haven't been back in years now. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  5. The fish in the pic is a Brook trout. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  6. Haha it was hot enough to jump in but I refrained! I will say that my boat gets a scumline every time I fish there. Annoying but worth it for the fishing I guess. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  7. I mixed it up and hit Onondaga today, largies everywhere but they would avoid any bait that came near them. Saw a ton of bullhead, carp, gar, 1 tiger. I got sunburnt pretty good, and almost too hot to enjoy it this afternoon with no wind. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  8. Sadly the most eventful fish of the day. The fish had their masks on, saw plenty but they wanted nothing. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  9. For a guy that's been hunting nuisance animals for 30 years I'd think you should know how to spell "nusience" by now... I'm no troll, simply speaking truths, you can resort to childish insults, it doesn't make me look bad. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  10. I was going to head out again this morning but figured it'd be another grind so I'll hold off until Thursday. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  11. I'm also interested in the process you used. I smoke a few salmon and browns a year, never even thought about something like pickerel. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  12. I know a few that do too. I also know of one that got caught baiting deer and another who shoots "their" big bucks in September so the neighbors don't get them. I'm not sure what you're getting at? If a farmer does it then it must be ok for everyone? Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  13. Save your trauma ridden stories for bedtime. I have been surrounded by coyotes growing up and aside from eating the occasional stray cat, no issues. I know plenty of farmers and they have no issues either. Go back to being afraid of things that go bump in the night. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  14. Conservation laws are designed to protect most animals/fish from their spawning/birthing period because they are most vulnerable at that time. If NY opened a year round season I wouldn't really care, but they haven't. How does it look when half of the people on this site condone illegal hunting activity? You think that's something that makes us look good? Unless I missed something, NY has no shortage of deer. I hope even just a few people here can climb out of their boxes and do some research. Coyotes predation on deer is not very high. Other states have bobcats, coyotes, bears, mountain lions etc... Guess what they still have healthy deer populations also. This pre conceived notion that coyotes are going to wipe out deer is a preconceived notion that the last generation did not understand and unfortunately it gets passed down. Read some studies, most here are too belligerent to ever admit they are wrong, and the friend cliques keeps people quiet or agreeable even when they don't. Coyotes are part of the ecosystem, they play their part, like everything else. I used to hate them too, but for what? Because they kill a few fawns? So do cars, hay cutters and ignorant people. If anything in the ecosystem kills and wastes deer it's people. Coyotes aren't out going for kill counts or bragging rights, they kill what they need to survive, the same as every other animal. If Bears were more prevalent here would you also condone shooting them out of season? After all studies show they play a larger role in fawn predation than coyotes. And studies have repeatedly shown that fawn mortality is high, regardless of predator presence, same as any animal. We are no longer in the dark ages of information, there's simply no excuse for lack of education anymore, maybe instead of spending so much time in Instagram, Facebook and sites like these we should search for the truth more... FYI these comments aren't all pointed at you, just a rebuttal to above. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  15. I know right! And real easy to kill in September too. My lease is overpopulated with those nuisance bucks, guess I'll play conservationist and start thinning them out to help out. SSS Shoot, Skin, Sausage)? Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  16. What's the matter? When it gets put in those terms suddenly you don't know what to say? You voted for making your own rules, let's hear your validation for it. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  17. You guys are right, let's let everyone deem what and when they decide is the right time to take animals and fish. I'll turkey hunt and walleye fish all of April and shoot my deer in September. We'll see what state the game animals are in after a few years of that. You want to shoot coyotes? Awesome, do it in the 6 month season. You don't get to pick and choose, there's a word for that... Poacher. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  18. This site has some real winners huh? The same guys who would chastise you if you shot an extra gobbler, shot a few extra ducks, killed an extra buck think nothing of making up rules for themselves as they see fit. You can kill coyotes for half of the year and 90% of these guys don't do it but want to play tough guys online. Classic. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  19. I hear that! They were not playing well today, must've been 80 boats out near the islands and I saw 2 fish get boated, I got 1. I was marking eyes but they wouldn't even take a crawler harness for me. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  20. I've used a lot of sights and finally found the one for me a few years ago. Apex Covert Pro. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  21. Love my Tundra, only negative is gas mileage but worth it to me. I wanted a reliable truck, as American as you can find, that won't have the quarter panels rot off in 6-7 years (like my 2 previous Ram's did). Resale is crazy high, they are always ranked extremely high on dependability, customer satisfaction and resale. I'm not a fan of turbo's, albeit I've never owned one, but the thought of replacing one at $5k is enough for me. Tundra is getting a complete overhaul for later this year, including turbo's. I'd hoped they would keep a naturally aspirated in the lineup but don't see one as of yet, mainly to keep up with mpg's. Look at used trucks online, you can find a 10yr old Toyota without any rust in NY. That's saying something. That was a huge part of my decision. Buy a Toyota, you won't regret it. I think a lot of people get it imprinted on their brain that whatever the family truck of choice was growing up is the best there is and they're willing to argue the brand tirelessly. I want proof and statistics. My .02. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  22. Fresh tacos, courtesy of Oneida lake today. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  23. I use up old senkos that way. Cut them in half and use them the same. They don't float like the TRD does but it does the trick. Put a drop of super glue on the nedhead before you put the bed rig on and it'll last longer too. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  24. Neds work really well on walleyes too, it's not a fast search bait but if you know they're location it can be killer. We pick up a lot of walleyes while bass fishing in the summer on them. I love fishing neds! Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
  25. It was too nice this morning, dead flat and sunny. Finally got the wind we needed toward noon but the rain came with it. Sent from my moto g fast using Tapatalk
