  1. Awesome! That's a shooter anywhere I hunt! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  2. Beautiful morning, only thing missing is the key ingredient to a perfect morning... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  3. Kill one! I think you're the closest person on this site to me (location wise) so give me some hope that they're moving! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  4. My 10 week old miniature Dachsund, smart little bugger so far. I went without pets for like 10 years, we just bought a new house a month ago and I was sick of not having a pup. We both agreed on the mini dachshund and in came Winchester shortly afterwards... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  5. Just had a big Fisher come through. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  6. Loved them, flew great, until I shot 3 deer with them, double lung shots and the blood trail was terrible. The deer didn't go far but if they did I may not have found them. Check out reviews online you'll see A LOT of the same complaint. Also could never seem to put a decent edge back on them, even with both of the Montec sharpeners... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  7. Bumped one on the way in and nothing since. Getting real sick of getting rained on every time I go in the woods though... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  8. Shoulda left the freezer door open and he would've ran in for you! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  9. Feels good to be back in a tree, second sit of the year for me, brand new spot and I have no idea what to expect. Here's to hoping... Been busy the last few days with my new pup. Hoping to give him a try tracking next season, see if he takes to it or not! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  10. Same as most, my pack gets strapped to the upper rail on the top half of my climber, I tie my 25 ft rope to the same rail and also to my d loop and away I go, get everything situated up in the tree then pull her up. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  11. How far was the shot? Quartering toward? Away? Broadside? How much penetration? The percentage of finding him only goes up by the actions you choose right now... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  12. What really gets me mad about after the fight is that Dana Scumbag White is making a big deal of what Khabib did by jumping over the cage and going after someone. How many times has Conor done that?? Dana loves to talk about principles until it comes to his love child McGregor, who gets away with whatever he wants. He shouldn't have been allowed back into the UFC after his antics. But then again I wouldn't have had the sheer pleasure of watching Khabib destroy him either. I've always hated Conor, he's a good fighter, but he's a loudmouth piece of garbage in my opinion. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  13. Anyone watch the fight last night? I've been waiting months to watch that fight and it couldn't have ended better! Let's go Khabib! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  14. The deer had 9 rounds and a broadhead still in it?? How could you hit a deer that many times and not hit anything vital? I'm not sure you could even shoot a deer with 5 slugs and they all stay in the deer?? Any pictures? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  15. Hmm, would you look at that, the deer is still alive, not killed by the DEC immediately or dead from CWD like some people would have guessed. It's not uncommon to see deer with visible ribs, especially with thin fur coats this time of year. I saw a big doe at 12 yds while hunting the other day and I could make out the rib bones on her too. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  16. That's pretty wild! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  17. I had seen that he died, I didn't hear that's how it happened. That's terrible. I guess I just assumed it was a heart attack or something. The guy could use a call for sure, awesome just to listen to. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  18. I hunt when I can, sometimes it's raining, others not. I have good luck seeing deer in and around rain. It certainly makes me rethink my opportunities though, gun hunting, absolutely, pound them in the front shoulder. Bow, I typically won't hunt heavy/steady rain, I love a drizzle though. Also depends how desperate I am for venison. Ultimately, probably not the best idea for bow though. I've tracked a lot of deer, sometimes even those good shots can be hell to track, in the rain forget about it.... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  19. Poisonous oaks, deadly to 2.5+ yr old bucks if ingested... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  20. Poor guy, I hate it when that happens! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  21. Back in a tree. The only thing raining here are acorns. Any nut experts here know off hand what type this is? Bur oak? Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  22. You aren't the only one Moog, I hit a doe last night and as I shot she stepped forward and I hit her too far back. I marked first blood and left her. I started searching this morning, basically a body search with this weather and about 150 yds away I find this. I couldn't even find the rest of her, it's amazing how quick yotes clean them up. Bad start to my season... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  23. Another doe browsing at 30yds, too thick. That makes 3 deer in range this AM, no shots. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
  24. Just had a megaladoe coming in to 12 yards head on the whole time, she made a turn before I could draw and stayed in the thick stuff and fed right past me. No shot. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
