Years ago when McDonald's was in Old Forge we were eating outside the car on the way to go camping, a couple of deer were just inside the woods and walked right up to us begging for food, for the record, they loved hash browns! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Thanks! I hope so too but they like to pull the Houdini act this time of year, and being public land you have to play chess with other hunters but we'll see! Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Pulled a few cameras today, had one corrupted card which really sucks but, I got a few good bucks. Public land bucks, I left out the 10 little guys and the does but I had thousands of photos. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

chrisw replied to burmjohn's topic in Deer Hunting
Acorns are raining down here, scouted for deer on a new piece, saw 7 deer and shot 5 bushytails in the process. First hunt of the year for me. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk- 10374 replies

Definitely wolves, they are built a lot different than coyotes. The head shape is all it took for me to realize they aren't yotes. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Anyone else read about this? Jason Hairston, the founder of Kuiu and the ex 49'er has died at 47 yrs old. Rumors are circulating that he took his own life, probably something to do with CTE which he was openly suffering from. Never ceases to shock me how someone who seemingly has the world in their hands could go out so young and if it's true, in this fashion. The reality that these are people like you and I and no matter the lifestyle or financial situation are just as fragile as anyone else. Sad situation for sure. He just returned from a trip to Alaska with his son and Donald Trump's Jr also a few days ago. Though we may not know for sure, there seems to be a lot of comments from close family friends about helping people who are visibly struggling with things. A good reminder for all of us I think.... RIP Jason... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

I was fishing an egg sucking leech pattern I tied and bottom bouncing it through some quick water hoping for a smallie or trout. I was surprised he took it, must've dropped right in front of his mouth and he sucked it in. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Since I mainly bowhunt I could say the same of you "rifle hunters." Grow up, get over yourself. Move on, there's more to life than trying to force your opinion on someone else. This is a fishing thread, not a place for your ethical preaching... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Nope. Hooks in the mouth are legal, anywhere else is not legal and the fish goes back... Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Haha I bleed them when I catch them, every year I can't stop thinking how fun it would be to bowfish them! I only caught hens yesterday, which is good because I got about 8 lbs of eggs for this winter/spring. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

First trip to the river this year, I figured there were a few Kings around, they were slim pickings but eventually I found some fish on the move, limited in an hour. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

I spent the majority of yesterday scouting, hanging cameras etc. I was exploring a new clear-cut when I walked up on this little fella who wasn't as afraid as it should've been. I took some photos and then scared it pretty good, hopefully it relates to that during deer season or it won't last long. Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk

Yea, that'll probably be my next step if noone on here wants it, I haven't tried to sell it anywhere else yet Sent from my XT1080 using Tapatalk
