This is too long to read for me, so I only read the first 9 paragraphs. Rush is nuts, but he nails it cold on this. We are regressing. Race relations are the worst they have been this century according to Gallup and as he points out now when there is a shooting, facts be damned, there is rioting. If you dare go to drudge right now there are some absolutely disgusting videos on there right now. And what has hillary said about this stuff? If elected she'll introduce new policies to help curb it. Really, how does that long? Now when cops have guns pointed at them they need to run? Stop and frisk is not unconstitutional. It was deemed unconstitutional in the way NYC was applying it, a few years ago. I think it should be unconstitutional, but it technically is not and can still be used and is used by police departments.

So the gov is sending in the national guard in NC now. Why? Because a guy who had a gun ignored commands from cops and was shot dead. Where is Obama in all of this? Where is the leadership to tell people to stop acting like fools and wait until they know the facts?

I guess it will happen to everyone eventually :(. I'm still hopeful, and not just hopeful but I do believe, that eventually orthopedic medicine is going to get to the point where joint pain from age is essentially a thing of the past, rather like many other medical things we've put to bed. We just need them to figure out a way to really effectively graft cartilage and encourage recovery of injured ligaments and tendons in ways not currently doable. I quit running years back due to a dicey knee. I'd love to take it up again in 20 years.

So pretty much exactly what we said to begin with. Eventually people will figure it out: when there is a cop shooting the actual facts almost never match the "omg the police murdered him!!!" It is a religion but a unique one that, in its very text, promotes its spread through violence and intolerance. Most Muslims cherry pick just like most practitioners of religions. A few "radical" ones apply the more nasty parts of it but they do so literally with clear guidance from text. So they are absolutely real Muslims. Muslims make up 1/4 of the world's population yet the majority of the world's terrorism is perpetrated by them (every white paper on terrorism will back this up). Islam is also disproportionately correlated with failed nations. I do believe it is fundamentally incompatible with what we consider democratic principles. The bulk of the world's high-percent Islamic nations are failed states and/or authoritarian regimes. These countries tend to be economically weak, socially backward, and technologically stunted. All belief systems are not the same. Islam seems to me a construct that does not benefit the populations in which it is applied. I have read extensively on what Muslims from Africa, the ME, and the West say about matters and I find their views horrifying, to be frank. Google pew research Muslims and you will find a large amount of data, including what percentage of them think one should be killed for adultery, what percentage support killing in its name, etc. It is an extremely oppressive religion and one incompatible with Western values. The fact so many Muslims live fine in the west is merely tribute to the fact they ignore its more offensive tenets. Unfortunately, a percentage of them do not. And so you end up with orlandos or Charlie hebdos or 911's.

Actually that is a fine point because in your analogy of both the truck and the car if you are hit by either one you are probably done for, rather like a deer hit with a slug or 223. This is just a guess but I doubt many people here look to video games to understand the capabilities of a cartridge at killing game.

Where most of us live it hasn't changed a bit because we know better and it was never high to begin with. But there is way too much pandering to criminals; the "I get why you're mad" stuff, even when most of the mad lately has been madness based on lies. My view of police was deteriorating over time based on no-knock warrants, over-militarization of police, the blue-wall of lie telling, etc. But in the past year or two my opinion has gone way up because I see the kind of crap they have to deal with and how even when they act perfectly they can still get fired or raked across the media coals.

Yep unlike last year I will be sneaking in some shots from my deck when the neighbors go to bed, just right below. I really have nowhere else to do it.

A few years back I adopted the cliched IT geek goatee/vandyke combo thing. Then a year or so ago I realized how much more epic a proper beard is, so now I go with a very closely trimmed beard (1/4"). Once they get too long they get pretty nasty, like the guy in the roald dahl book The Twits. Every 6-12 months I shave to annoy my family and i look hideous. Like a fat baby or something. Just doesn't work.

Never shot as well as I did today. Below is my honest to goodness first six arrows. Ignore the top four, I think their spines may be too light or something. The bottom two are my first shots at 50 yards (also ignore the angle; the center of target is such a mess that often arrows will hit it and veer off path). Another 20 arrows later or so I shot another eight arrows at 30. Again, ignore the red ones. The orange were awesome groups for me. Also not cherry picked. I'm hitting black circle constantly at 20 yards now. Bow is a 2015 Stinger X with $25-30/6 Decimator arrows from Field & Stream shooting 58 lbs.

Finally got a chance to shoot a bunch of these today. 29" arrows, some 8.7 gpi (350 spine), some 8.0 (400 spine) with lighted nocks. Total weight on all is 25.6 grams across the board, shooting 58 lbs. My lighted nocks were hitting noticeably higher than my other arrows @ 50 yards, even though the others have the exact same weight. I thought it must be the center of gravity further backward on the lighted, but now I am thinking it was probably just the weaker spine causing this issue. Tomorrow I'll use the same 350 spine arrows and expect to see the lighted hit a touch lower at 50 yards. That's fine. What I really can't tolerate will be if the grouping opens up. Hopefully it won't, though. I was hella sad to see one of my four nocturnals is already broken! Stupid thing won't stay on properly. I have the receipt may bring it back, that's too early to die.

The NC thing is a total farce. His daughter or somebody said he was reading a book and got shot to death by police. The police's version of events, as promoted by their black police chief is that a black cop shot this guy, who had a gun, after multiple requests to put it down. Tell me guys: Which story do you think happened? But, who cares. Let's go loot walmart and throw rocks off overpasses at cars.

Well, I have no problem saying it was impossible, because the heart shot wasn't the first one he took. He says in the description, and you can see on camera, him running after it following the first shot. Then at 2:16 in the video you can see blood on the hog's back from the first shot that was far back; he hit it twice. You posted this video. Didn't you watch the entire thing or read the description under it? --- As for KE, in another video Tim says he is shooting at 251 fps at a bird. That probably changes in some hunts, but a 400 grain arrow at 251 has 56 ft lbs. At 140 yards it's still well over 30 foot lbs. I believe people overestimate the KE reduction of arrows at range.

I have 20,30,40,50. I shoot 50 more than any other distance for fun and to help show any form issues. I may put another pin in for 60 soon

The fact you say that is proof it happened. 185 yards is very far for iron sights even with an actual laser beam!

17 ft lbs will penetrate head or neck sufficiently to take a deer at these distances. I intend not to go beyond 30 this year myself but if I see some really long range stuff, say 70,80 yards it will be nothing but neck and head shots! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Well that is unlikely. You've probably noticed that in, hmm, 100% of these recent cases the person who got shot--even when it WAS murder (like the guy who shot the dude while running and planted something on him)--the guy who ended up dead was clearly acting like a clown at the time it happened; he antagonized some reaction from the cop. Just not necessarily the right one. I can think of very, very few videos in which somebody is simply shot at by a cop for no reason at all. I can only think of one off the top of my head (black guy at gas station reaching for wallet gets shot by insane trigger happy cop). Wrong. Again, we've seen a lot of these vids lately and then it turns out that on second thought maybe something else happened after all. Best example is the guy who was "shot for selling CDs" recently, yet a second video later shows us that oh I guess he was going for his gun after all. This video we just don't know enough about. It inconveniently happens to have the SUV right in the way during the shooting. She may have murdered this guy in cold blood. Or, he may have been reaching for a weapon. The video doesn't answer that.
