Beautiful buck and a great story ! thanks for sharing -
I only hunted twice this weekend because its so warm. Seen deer both outtings but its not worth the risk of having the meat spoil. Feels great to get back out though !

So my Summit broke.... wear a harness people
carloracer1987 replied to NYbuck50's topic in Bow Hunting
Between age of climber, rain and please dont take wrong, weight capacity. They all have an effect. I used to be pushing 230lbs and was always worried about a 250lb max load capacity. Glad you're safe and that summit is working with you ! ive had mine for 2 years and only used it a little but i do love it ! -
Ive heard code blue uses cow urine from when they are in heat. Dont want to argue just what i heard, Now i dont buy big name brands i support the true deer farmers.

Had a doe come in and i passed her up, 10 minutes later a racoon at the base of my treestand, starts climbing up. Scared him away and stuck him at 8 yards. Little bastard started to try to climb up toward me then fell and bleed out. Hate them darn coons

Put the stand up if you want to, that dead carcess wont stop any deer from going in there.

Climbing sticks/separate sections/screw in steps?
carloracer1987 replied to nybuckboy's topic in Deer Hunting
Im a fan of the 4' climbing sticks. I love how light they are and so versitaile. Used screw in steps once, and what a PITA they are. Plus alot of the land i hunt "cornell" does not allow screw in steps because they puncture the tree. -

i agree with doc, just a foot or so short of being able to draw a bow back without the upper limb interfering. -

I need to make a stand for mine, i use a chair as a prop, they suck at staying up with the little 2" of bar they give you to shove into the ground ! -

oops not 4moto, motoworks is the exhaust ! -
I have a 2010 Yamaha yfz 450x bill balance edition for sale. Im selling because I hardly ever ride it and Im wanting to buy a house in the next year or so. It is a awesome quad and has tons of power, I have installed nerf bars, a 4moto slip on exhaust and a 4moto programmer as this is a EFI quad. The X is for the shorter of the two series wheel base. More of a tight trail&hare scramble quad whereas the R series is for Motocross. I would bet I have Maybe 40 hours on it since I bought it brand new from lanes Yamaha in april 2010. I change the oil every 10 hours or after a really long day of riding. I took awesome care of it and never raced it but I don't ever ride it anymore. I rode it for 2 hours last weekend. I've never wrecked it, or rolled it. I tapped a tree with the front bumper once and dinged it up a bit but that is all. Here is a photo if you want more let me know I can post more. Id like $5000 obo, not really interested in any trades but might negotiate a little. thank you for looking I also have a 1997 Honda cr80r that was just rebuilt last year with only 10 minutes of idle time. Bought it with a blown motor and my girlfriend at the time wanted to ride it. Needless to say I just remembered I had it and have slowly worked on it. Had Honda rider sport of Ithaca ny rebuild the motor. Started it yesterday 7/5/13. Needs rear tube installed and front tube installed. Id like $700. Ex is gone and its to small for me to ride and no time to ride. I could do a package deal if someone is interested. PM me for more info. or feel free to text me 315-751-0293 my names zach

I agree and 20 gauge should be sufficient, just don't have him go out and start target practicing with slugs or buck shot haha

I hear there are not enough coyotes to handle year round hunting..

this is my german shepherd, his name is diesel and he is about 6 months old now. Got him when he was just a wee 6 week old puppy. Then the border collie mix is Sadie, ive had her for almost 10 years, she is an amazing companion and is teaching diesel the rights and wrongs. More of a pain in her butt haha. I wouldn't trade either of these dogs for anything in the world ! oh and the black lab great dane mix is Anubis he's about 7 and hes my brothers dog 140lbs of pure love haha

Any ex cops or judges on here ?
carloracer1987 replied to carloracer1987's topic in General Chit Chat
It was the town of Enfield over on halseyville road. Im 21 and only have one ticket, I know its not a ton of driving experience but the past 3 years I've put over 100,000 miles on my vehicles ( a lot of travel for work as a construction worker) Beats some of my friends with pleanty of tickets. I know the judge isn't bad, as she dropped my first ticket which was ironically the same cop on the same road 3 years ago. But Im in progress of getting it registered and inspected.
