  1. Does it have a primer button?
  2. Ended up choosing a 64D form, basically a semi-sneak, ears back, head down. The deer on the left is a full sneak for reference....Very happy. Thanks Tru-Life Taxidermy, never a disappointment.
  3. Homemade venison cheese/parsley sausage
  4. Erie Hotel in Dirt Jervis. Very impressed, and I am hard to please with Italian. They threw like 18 littlenecks on there for I believe it was $19!
  5. I’m not taking it. I have plenty of reasons why, but if I get into why, this will be the longest thread on the board with follow up debates.
  6. Great shop, I grew up a mile away. I got my bow, and crossbow from them. Wonderful people, Nick helped me immensely with setting up a compound for me with my arm situation. You’re in good hands there. Enjoy!
  7. Christmas Dinner Date Night. i had littleneck clams in red sauce, delicious! Jenn had NY strip, baked potato, etc. french onion soups to warm up when we got here Wine, and Sam Adams Winter
  8. Thank you sir, yes for whatever its worth, the Moultrie xv-6000 was a dead on arrival unit, the replacement was good, then wouldn’t send pics to my phone, then all of a sudden it has been working fine. I know it was not sending pics because, i set the cam up, walked by it, saw the IR glow, never received the pic...then it snows a few inches, checked after that snow, I saw deer tracks within 10 feet of cam, no pics transmitted. I was still in contact with Moultrie, they told me they will not refund me, will only replace under warranty, so I am fighting them, and commenting this on their posts on Instagram. My Spypoint Link Micro arrived today. Again, entry level cell cameras, and as I always say, you generally get what you pay for.
  9. Damn thats a lot of snow. We only got 13” roughly here in Orange County, but I did work a 31 hr shift for it, I will gladly take their money.
  10. Thats what I like to hear! Sounds like me, but good for him adapting so well. I didn’t have to adapt due to being from birth. I hate when people use it as an excuse to be lazy, you have to do what you have to do, too many don’t think that way.
  11. I can, took my road test on an auto because the damn state of NY said I had to due to my arm situation. I took my road test without my arm on just to make a point, and my dad gave them a major ear full. I have an automatic restriction on my license to this day, and also they want me to have a suicide knob. Never have had a suicide knob, and never will, ef em. I also have owned 4 daily driver standard shift commuter cars over the years. Never an issue. They say standard will be the best security system soon enough.
  12. Started about a half hour ago here in Orange County, in the plow truck until long after its over. Be safe everyone....
  13. 18+ for us, Will be a long couple of days at work
  14. I am right at $700 in, the store lumber was high obviously, and the siding/trim was the only amish wood at $.50 a foot near Stratford. Brackets were $77...I used deck screws too which are $$. Plexiglass was leftover scrap the hardware store sells. Tin, and carpet was free. I didn’t do too bad I feel.
  15. I appreciate that! But they all do the same job, we built it as a fun project, in hopes it will last a very long time, I am very proud of it though.
  16. Built this late summer with my dad. 4’x6’ box which is I VERY happy with, deer encounters are typically close, so any larger, than I create blind spots, that I would need to move around for. 12’ treated legs, elevator brackets secured with timber bolts, deck torx screws, everything minus board/bats are treated. 3/4” plywood treated floor, 3/4” x 12” boards covered with tin roof(full boards not normal pearlings, thin carpet for sound deadening, front/rear plexiglass slider windows, and one you see is hinged on the door, and the 4th is a flip up with a magnet(magnet has a strip of electrical tape for sound reduction). Buddy heater with a 12’ hose, filter, and 20 lb tank. Treated ladder, with the rungs the same distances apart, as a standard ladder. I would only change the rear window, it is a pinch low, I would add height, rather than moving it up. I shot my deer from that window though. I plan to add a little piece of plywood to hold the propane tank though, rather than resting it on the ladder brace. I will add a few hooks as well, and I am thinking about a little flip up shelf for the bi-pod. I love it, oh and I need a better seat! I was in it solo all season, but for a once in a while 2 person sit, it will be perfect.
  17. 100+ year old pan doing its thing. @turkeyfeathers taco seasoning he sent on Shramp
  18. I’ve been in the woods all weekend, saw 10-12 yesterday, and I'm in now as well.
  19. Nytracker, for whatever it is worth my shack is board/batten too like that, deer have not at all been bothered. I feel like the stand is so big, that it’s not even looked at by deer, as a traditional treestand, if that makes sense. If you stain it, or water seal, i would let it sit until summer so the boards dry, unless they dried the boards prior. You are probably already aware of that though, anyways very nice, and the octagon corners are great. I am not treating my tower, it will weather into a gray color anyway, and I feel its high up enough with large enough overhangs to not get wet, to last quite some time.
