  1. I agree the first 2 weeks in November are the best although last year I saw a nice buck chasing a doe on thanksgiving morning. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  2. I talked with my wife on the subject she's been a nurse for 25 years she recommends prune juice with drinking lots of water also,if that doesn't work maybe a over the counter laxative Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

  6. I'm not sure why to be honest,it may have something to do with the concentration of hunters per square mile? We have a lot of big parcels of state land sometimes I will still hunt after a morning watch cover a mile or so and never bump into another hunter, sometimes there's not even another vehicle parked anywhere on the same road Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

  9. I am not trying to say that Mossberg is on par with ruger but both the Patriot and American seem to be fine choices in the entry level rifle Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  10. I read a lot of good reviews on it to before I bought one I wonder why they don't seem to be very popular I don't know anyone else who has owns one. I know Mossberg is not a huge name as far as rifles they are more known for their shotguns that may have something to do with it.They are priced in the same ballpark as the Ruger American and they are selling like hotcakes ( by the way I love the American I own 2 of them). 11. I got a walnut in 270 seems to shoot real well. I believe you can get them in some big calibers to I think right up to 375h&h.Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  12. Does anyone have much experience with the Mossberg Patriot that came out last year? I bought one late last year and only able to get it out for a couple hunts.I bought the wood version which is a decent looking rifle I thought the synthetic version looked awful cheap looking.I thought for a wood stock rifle with a fluted barrel and bolt for $400 dollars was worth giving it a shot but you don't hear much about them. I understand they are not a high line rifle but has anyone had much luck with them? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  13. I have owned 4 Ford trucks and they have been good to me Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  14. Your right there, he never really mentioned if it was private land or not. I wasn't 100 percent sure if it was illegal on state land but I thought soSent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  15. I could be wrong but I was told once that they are illegal on state land as they say it is harmful to the tree? Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

  19. Has anyone tried or know someone who has tried the HEC body suit that the pursuit channel is pushing real hard? They claim it all but eliminates the electronic pulses given off by all living things allowing you to go undetected to animals even at very close ranges allowing you to almost be able to sneak up and touch your game.I was wondering if it works half as good as on tv or is it just another money grab. 20. Love the Americans as well just picked up one in an all weather finish in 30-06.That makes my second American the other one is in 243.I took had to sneak it in the gun safe Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk

  22. I will have to check it out I just wear a nylon Orange vest over my camo right now even the fleece would be a lot warmerSent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  23. No kidding I'm not sure I've seen a Orange vest made of woolSent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
  24. Not that I'm trying to turn anyone off from wearing them but I have chosen to wear some form of Orange when I'm on state land as my father was shot in the woods wearing red and black checkered wool back in the 80s.He was on watch sitting against a tree when some young 16 yr old mistook him for a bear. The kid shoot twice with a 30-30 missing him the first time but the second one hit the tree he was sitting against before piercing his abdomen. He was carried out of the woods and brought to a hospital to have the bullet removed. He recoverd just fine but he kind of lost his desire to hunt much after that.He was around 50yrs old and I was 17 needless to say I lost a lot of hunting adventures with my dad because of this but atleast I didn't loose my dad. I know hunting accidents happen with people wearing the full Orange jump suit to so I can't really blame the woolys he had on I just prefer to wear something with some Orange in it Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
