LIVE From The Woods 2020 - Let's hear stories and see some pictures!

Of course I brought my 2 oldest and the younger slipped on thin swamp/puddle ice and dunked a whole leg and boot cutting my scouting short. Felt bad as I got more annoyed than I should have, and caught myself acting like my father when afterall he's a kid. Just sucks to drive over and hike in and then lose some valuable time. Positive note, all 3 shooter/mounter bucks made it through and there are some nice 8's that were probably 2.5 that made it. We have all been there....on the positive side you realized what you did wrong and probably won't do it anymore. My boys are 4 and 6 and have dunked in a few ditches and creeks over the years. I yell...they laugh at me and we move on! Lol. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk -

You can do it for way less than that if you just buy a few cameras that run off wifi. I have mine to keep my guns away from prying eyes and my kids........no need to break the bank on the biggest and baddest safe on the market. On the flip side when the housing market wasn't nutzo and buyers had a little more control...I heard a story from a realtor friend of a home owner having to pay a bunch to have a safe removed from the house the new buyer wasn't interested in....no clue why they didn't want it...but the home owner had to pay to get the safe moved and the house sold. It's a great combination.....don't get me wrong you can't eat that on a weekly basis but once or a twice a year its a real treat! Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk -
Congrats!! Nice looking machine. I had a 96 Polaris xlt 2up years ago and it ran like a champ. With my boys being really young at the time the wife and I didn't use it much so i sold it to a buddy for 600.00...think I paid 900 a few years earlier. Know my boys are older they want to get one to play around on in the winter......earlier in January around my area of WNY when the snow was minimal you could find great sleds for 1500 bucks.....once the snow started to pile up those same sleds were 2500.00 all day. Guess we'll wait until next fall when the prices bottom out again. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

Congrats Jerry!! Funny story....my Dad worked for a utility company for 44 years and retired the day he turned 62. I asked him one day if he was going to be bored and grab a partime job somewhere. He said " son if i wanted to be bossed around I would have stayed at my one an only job and made way more money than working at home depot, I am retired so the man can't tell me what to do anymore!" It's been 12 years for him and he doesn't miss going to work at all! Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

He coaches for free? That's unheard of this day in age. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

Thats awesome and will definitely help cut the cost down on a new barn. But don't hold your breathe on the price of lumber dropping......it's up there to stay for good....or at least a long while. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

The kids make it fun!! Skiing, skating, sledding keeps ya young. Once the wife and I retire and the kids decide if their plans in life take them outta state I am sure we will follow in some way or another. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

Just curious........Why do they ask your guess on the age? Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

I don't even know if I could reach for my bow or gun I would be shaking so bad! By playing cat and mouse all season I am sure that helped his or her nerves helping see that beauty a few times throughout the season. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk

Vaccination
mlammerhirt replied to johnplav's topic in Gun and Hunting Laws and Politics Discussions
From my understanding you book your second dose the day you get your first. So you don't mix the vaccines. So these people booking multiple app are trying different places to get their first dose.....not second. Sent from my SM-A716V using Tapatalk
